PEC Chandigarh Admission process

Mughalpura Engineering College, now known as Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), was founded in Lahore in 1921. It is now situated in Chandigarh. The institute was relocated to Chandigarh in the Indian state of Punjab in 1953. The NAAC has given the institute a “B+” grade.

Particularly in the CSE and ECE departments, the institute has an outstanding faculty that is young, intelligent, experienced, and committed. The faculty has 139 members, including 88 PhDs. The college’s research and development laboratories are well-equipped.

PEC offers 31 specializations in three courses, including eight in the B.Tech., twelve in the M.Tech., and eleven in the Ph.D. A candidate must receive 75% of the possible points or place in the top 20% of their class to be admitted to the B.Tech program. They must take the JEE-Main in order to be selected.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with 60 percent or higher to be admitted to an M.Tech program and to be selected, they must have a current GATE scorecard.

A candidate must have either an M.Tech degree with 60% or a B.Tech degree with 65% in order to pursue a PhD at PEC. They must take either the NET or the GATE in order to be selected.

PEC has a fantastic culture for placement and internships.

Companies hire interns every other odd-numbered semester, giving students good exposure to the workplace. The campus is frequently visited by recruiters from companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Oxigen, Tata, Honda, Fiat, and others, and has an excellent placement record. PEC B.Tech Admission 2022

Admission to PEC’s B.Tech program for 2022 includes eight specializations. A candidate must receive a 75% or place in the top 20% of their class 12 exam to be eligible to apply. The applicant must take the JEE-Main in order to be chosen.

PEC offers eleven specializations under the M.Tech course. Candidates interested in applying should have a B.Tech degree with 60% marks aggregate. For selection, they have to take the GATE.

How to apply for GATE?

  • Visit the official website.
  • Register through the link by entering the candidate’s name, email ID and mobile number.
  • After the form is submitted, an enrolment ID will be sent to the candidate’s mobile number.
