Selection in bachelor degree courses from Pondicherry University is made on the basis of marks secured in their 12th standard along with the respective subject for which they are applying in the graduation.
Candidates seeking admission in the Master Degree courses in various streams of arts, commerce, and science require a certificate of graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum of 55 %. A common entrance examination is further conducted by the University so that students can confirm their seats in the desired courses.
The highest scorers received marks like 263, 323, and 232 in subjects of Commerce, English and Physics, respectively. Entrance test for MBA is based on marks obtained in CAT while for Biotechnology it is JNU CEEB.
Admission in courses of PhD from Pondicherry University is made on the basis of combined marks of entrance exams, personal interview and academic records of the concerned subjects. 70% weightage is given to entrance examination, while 30% is given to both personal interview and academic career.
