NIT Meghalaya Facilities

The 300 acres of lush green, pollution-free land that make up the National Institute of Technology Meghalaya campus are allotted to educational use only. Students have access to a variety of amenities located all throughout campus. They consist of the following:

• Central library: Approximately 13,000 books covering a variety of subjects, including engineering, science, the arts, and humanities, are housed in the central library. These books, journals, and other resources are available for faculty, staff, and students to use for academic and research reasons.
• Hostel The capacity of the 5 hostels for males is 464, while the capacity of the 2 hostels for girls is 140. The hostel offers amenities like a mess, WiFi, a gym, and sporting goods.
• Computer Center: Eight servers and more than 200 powerful PCs with Intel i7 processors are housed in the computer center. Every computer has WiFi capability.
• Modern technology Classrooms: LCD projectors and interactive electronic whiteboards are available in every classroom.
• Health: NIT has a doctor on staff who comes to the school three times per week. Additionally, the college has a contract with a well-known state hospital that guarantees preferential treatment for its instructors, staff, and students. The NIT reimburses expenses.
• Sports: Sporting events are regularly held at the institute for students. There are facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports, including badminton, table tennis, LAN gaming, carom, chess, and sports like football, basketball, and cricket.

NIT Hostel For Male & Female – Fee ₹38.50 k

Boys can stay in accommodations with all the necessities at NIT Meghalaya. The hostel committee oversees and directs its operations. The hostel committee and warden created all the rules and regulations, which must all be adhered to for safety reasons. The college currently has the following facilities:
