NIFT Patna Admission Process

National Institute of Fashion Technology Patna offers admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate level courses on the basis of marks scored in the entrance examination followed by the selection process.

NIFT Patna Admission highlights

• Candidates required to qualify the NIFT entrance exam to be eligible for the undergraduate courses. The students applying for undergraduate courses required to pass 10+2 from a recognised board or some equivalent exam. The students applying for B.FTech must have qualified from science stream in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Maths as the compulsory subject.

• NIFT admission to the postgraduate level MFM course or other postgraduate courses must have graduated from a recognised university or have completed an undergraduate diploma of 3year duration from NIFT or NID. Candidates qualified the graduation with minimum 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for the master’s degree.

• Candidates applying for undergraduate courses are selected on the basis of three-step examination. The first step is the Creativity Aptitude Test(CAT) Followed by General Aptitude Test (GAT). The results of CAT and GAT selects the students who are eligible for the Situation Test. • Candidates applying for the postgraduate level are selected on the basis of Entrance test conducted by NIFT on a national level. The students who qualify the exam are eligible for a personal interview and group discussion which takes place in the college. The students are eligible for the admission in postgraduate courses after qualifying in personal interview and group discussion.

• NIFT, Patna allows direct admission in the second year after qualifying the NLEA exam which is conducted for lateral entry admission. The candidates required to pass in the examination to be eligible for the admission. For detailed information, you can check the NIFT, Patna portal.
