National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi, abbreviated as NIFT Delhi was established in 1986. From one of the campuses in Delhi, NIFT created other 15 branches spread in various parts of India. Ministry of Textiles under Govt. of India makes this institute’s existence and growth possible.

NIFT Delhi offers several courses on Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral level of study. It offers B.Des with several specializations in Fashion related disciplines with a duration of four years. It also offers a B.F.Tech programme in Apparel Production with a duration of four years.

The institute offers a full-time two years-long Master of Design or M.Des, Master of Fashion Technology or M.F.M and Master of Fashion Technology or M.F.Tech at the Postgraduate level of study. Along with these, it offers Doctoral level PhD programmes in various sectors of Fashion.

NIFT Delhi Courses offered and Fees structure

NIFT Delhi courses offered both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level of study. NIFT Delhi offers B.Des and B.F.Tech at the Undergraduate level of study with a duration of four years. The institute offers a full-time two years-long Master of Design or M.Des, Master of Fashion Technology or M.F.M and Master of Fashion Technology or M.F.Tech at the Postgraduate level of study.

Certificate courses are part-time courses in subjects like Creative Fashion Styling, Draping and Pattern Making etc. and have fees around 62,000 and 1 lakh rupees. NIFT Delhi fee structure for B.Des course is 11.35 lakhs, M. Des fee is 4.46 lakhs.

NIFT Delhi Admission Process

At NIFT Delhi, applicants can get admission in a particular course on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying exam followed by counselling process. 

• NIFT Delhi admission for full-time B. Des course, CAT and GAT entrance exam score is considered.
• NIFT Delhi admission 2019 for full-time M. Des. Course, the selection is done through CAT and General Ability Test or GAT followed by a Group Discussion and Interview round.
• For admission in M. F.Tech courses, candidates are selected based on the marks obtained in the CAT and General Ability Test or GAT followed by a Group Discussion.

NIFT Delhi Result and cut-off

NIFT Delhi announced the cut-off list after the qualifying exam result is declared. The cut-off list is the deciding factor in candidates’ admission in a particular course. Candidates are required to cross the cut-off mark in order to get admission in the course.

Admission to most of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate level programmes is done based on marks obtained General Ability Test or GAT exams followed by a counselling process. Thus, NIFT Delhi cut off marks are declared after the declaration of GAT scores.
