NIFT Chennai Result and Cutoff

Students seeking admission to the undergraduate level B.Design course in NIFT Chennai, are shortlisted based on the marks scored in the GAT or General Ability Test and CAT or Creative Ability Test. Hence, Chennai NIFT cutoff is declared after the declaration of GAT and CAT results every year. The candidates who make through the cut off marks are called for a situation test, conducted by NIFT, individually.

However, candidates need to be less than 23 years of age to apply for the Undergraduate level courses. NIFT Chennai offers admission to the undergraduate level B.F. tech course based on marks obtained in GAT entrance examination. Once the GAT scores are released the institute declares its selection cut off marks every year.

In order to secure admission to the Postgraduate level Master’s in Fashion Technology and Master’s in Fashion Management courses candidates are required to appear in the GAT or General Aptitude Test. Thus, NIFT results are released after GAT scores are declared.

Important to note that, there is no fixed age limit to apply for the PG courses. A total of 20% seats are reserved in all the courses for native candidates of Tamil Nadu.

NIFT Lateral entry Admissions is conducted through direct admission to the second year of the course. National Institute of Fashion Technology cut off can vary from year to year depending on various factors like the total number of seats available for admission in the exam, the difficulty level of the question paper, previous year cutoff trends etc.
