MSE Chennai Courses Offered

MSE Chennai offers two full time 2-year PGDM programs – PGDM Finance (Financial Engineering) and PGDM Research and Business Analytics.

As a part of this program students are provided with in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge on the concepts of Asset Pricing and Corporate Finance. The domain specific courses and electives for this particular program include:

1. Domain Specific courses – Asset Pricing and Corporate Finance
2. Electives – Computational techniques in finance, Stochastic Calculus, Market Microstructure, Derivatives pricing, Financial Time Series.

With a successful PGDM in finance, students can go for careers in quantitative finance roles like structuring, trading and risk management.

As a part of this program students are provided with knowledge in Big Data and BA. The domain specific courses and the electives for this particular program include:

1. Domain Specific courses – Medical Analytics, Financial Analytics and Algorithms.
2. Electives – Big Data, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

With a successful PGDM in Research and Business Analytics students can have careers as data scientists, BI and BA professionals, and have careers in management reporting and control, data-driven consulting and policy formation.

Madras School of Economics Admission process

Students can apply for one or both of the above PGDM courses and the eligibility criteria and other important application details are as follows:

• Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 60% in class X, XII and undergraduate degree
• 3 years or 4 years undergraduate degree from a recognized university
• No arrears or backlogs at the time of applying for the PGDM program
• Students from the Mathematics stream during the class XII stage are preferred
• Scores of the following entrance exams will be considered for the admission – CAT, GMAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT or ATMA

• Important Information 

• The application process is completely online. Students are required to visit mse.ac.in to fill the application and upload the relevant documents.
• The cost of the applications for is Rs.1500; payment is to be made through NEFT and the transaction ID has to be entered in the application form
• Last date for submission of the completed application – 30 April 2020
• Course commencement date – 20 July 2020
