IMI Bhubaneswar has introduced a scholarship scheme for its PGDM and FPM programs. Established in 1981, it is India’s first corporate-sponsored business school. The IMI Bhubaneswar Scholarships provide financial support to meritorious and deserving students. There are two categories of scholarships available:
- Scholarship for PGDM
- Scholarship for FPM
The Fellow Program in Management (FPM) is a four-year course, while the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a full-time two-year course offered by IMI Bhubaneswar. Scholarships are available for students enrolled in both of these programs.
IMI Bhubaneswar Scholarship for PGDM
IMI Bhubaneswar offers scholarships specifically for its PGDM program, a full-time two-year course. These scholarships are categorised into Pre-Admission and Post-Admission Scholarships. Here are the detailed specifics of the IMI Bhubaneswar Scholarship for PGDM:
Pre-Admission Scholarships Candidates can avail one of the following scholarships. The disbursal of the 50% scholarship will occur at the end of the first year, with the remaining 50% at the end of the second year. The final decision regarding scholarships rests with the Scholarship Committee. Details are as follows:

Merit Scholarship: Candidates scoring at least 80% in CAT/XAT/CMAT or GMAT can receive a scholarship amounting to INR 1,00,000. This is applicable to applicants with a first-class academic background.

Merit Scholarship for Women Candidates: Female applicants meeting the above criteria receive an additional 20% scholarship.

Defence Personnel: Children of defence personnel receive a scholarship of INR 50,000, while children of martyrs receive INR 1,00,000.
Post-Admission Scholarships Post-Admission Scholarships are awarded to deserving students with outstanding academic records. IMI Bhubaneswar also offers Summer Internships under this scholarship scheme to foster individual growth and development.
IMI Bhubaneswar Scholarship for FPM
IMI Bhubaneswar offers a limited number of scholarships for candidates seeking admission to the Fellow Program in Management (FPM).
- For the first two years, students receive INR 31,000 per month, which increases to INR 35,000 in the 3rd and 4th years, equivalent to JRF/SRF.
- To continue receiving the fellowship, candidates must maintain the required academic standards, reviewed every six months.
- A contingency grant of INR 25,000 per annum is provided during the 2nd and 3rd years to cover expenses such as stationery, hardware/software, etc.
- Throughout the program, FPM scholars attending conferences, workshops, or summer schools are entitled to receive INR 75,000.
- FPM scholars categorised in A+ and A-Star receive research incentives of INR 1,00,000 and INR 2,00,000, respectively.
