Admission to PGPM courses is based on CAT, XAT, GMAT, or CMAT scores, followed by written communication tests, group exercises, and personal interviews. IMT Nagpur sets its cutoff between 80 – 90 percentile, varying by exam. The institute has reduced CAT and GMAT cutoffs by 5 percentile for Kashmiri migrants and non-migrants domiciled in the Kashmir Valley.
