IMT Hyderabad Admission 2024
IMT Hyderabad offers several programs including the Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Executive Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM Executive), and FPM. These programs are recognised as equivalent to an MBA by the AIU, and the institute holds accreditations from AICTE, SAQS, and NBA. IMT Hyderabad also provides various certificate courses and sponsored research programs. Interestingly, the PGDM program attracts a diverse range of students beyond those from Commerce or Management backgrounds; over 30% of enrolled students come from Engineering backgrounds. While most applicants are fresh graduates, some also possess work experience, which is advantageous during the selection process.
In addition to its flagship program, IMT Hyderabad provides Executive PGDM and FPM programs. Admission to the Executive PGDM program is based on CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, or ATMA scores followed by a Personal Interview (PI). For the FPM program, the institute considers CAT, GRE, GATE, or UGC-NET scores. Applicants for FPM are also required to submit a 5000-word research proposal in their chosen area of study.

IMT Hyderabad PGDM Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Final-year undergraduate candidates are also eligible to apply for the program.
IMT Hyderabad PGDM Selection Criteria
- Candidates are initially shortlisted based on their CAT/XAT/CMAT test scores.
- Shortlisted candidates are required to create a 1-minute video introducing themselves, detailing their background, and discussing their career goals.
