Institute of Management Studies, BHU (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi Scholarships

The University extends financial support to deserving students through the Students’ Welfare Fund. The following details outline these provisions:

1. Free Meal Facility: The University will provide free lunches and dinners to 50 economically disadvantaged students for a minimum of 7 months. Female hostellers will receive reimbursement for their actual mess charges.

2. Annadaan Yojana: A total of 20 blind students will receive complimentary lunch and dinner, along with an annual amount of INR 5000 under the “Annadaan Yojana.”

3. Academic Excellence Prizes: First and second rank holders will be honored with cash prizes of INR 4000 and INR 300, respectively.

4. Financial Assistance for Economically Disadvantaged: Students hailing from financially challenged backgrounds will be eligible for an annual financial assistance of INR 2000. This benefit will be extended to a maximum of 100 students.

5. Support for Physically Handicapped Students: Physically handicapped students will receive a one-time grant of INR 4000 per student for the entire duration of their course. This assistance will be granted to a maximum of 25 students.

6. Travel Reimbursement for Seminar Participation: Students, excluding research scholars, who participate in national-level seminars, symposia, or conferences will have their sleeper class rail fare reimbursed.

7. Financial Support for Seminars/Workshops: Financial assistance of up to INR 5000 per event will be provided for organising seminars or workshops at the faculty/institute level. These events should be beneficial to students, with a maximum of 10 seminars/symposia/workshops supported each year.
