IMNU (Nirma University) Admission 2024

The Integrated BBA-MBA program is currently accepting admissions at the Institute of Management, Nirma University in Ahmedabad. Interested candidates can complete the admission process online by paying the requisite fee of Rs.1500/- for Indian candidates or US $35 for foreign candidates. Selection for MBA courses at IMNU is based on the CAT/GMAT entrance exam score, followed by a Personal Interview Round and Theme Development & Presentation (TDP). Admission to the Integrated BBA-MBA program is based on valid scores in IPMAT, followed by a Personal Interview Round. On the other hand, admission to the Integrated B.Tech-MBA program is based on valid scores in JEE Main.

Additionally, the institute has introduced an MBA program in Family Business and Entrepreneurship (FB&E), for which it conducts its own entrance test. The admission fee for Indian candidates is Rs.1500/-, while for FN/PIO/NRI/Gulf/South East Asia Candidates, it is Rs.6000/-. In addition to MBA and Integrated BBA MBA courses, the university offers Ph.D. programs for candidates who hold a master’s degree. IMNU MBA Admission 2024

The Institute of Management at Nirma University in Ahmedabad provides a two-year MBA program in Human Resources and Communication, and an MBA in Family Business and Entrepreneurship (FB&E) with a seat intake capacity of 60. To be eligible for these courses, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks. The selection process for these courses involves the CAT/GMAT entrance exam scorecard, with the final selection based on the candidate’s personal interview, Theme Development & Presentation (TDP), and academic performance.

IMNU MBA and MBA (HRM) Eligibility

To be eligible for both courses, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Final-year students may also apply, provided they can provide proof of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria.

IMNU MBA and MBA (HRM) Selection Criteria

For MBA and MBA HRM

  • CAT/GMAT scores are used for shortlisting students for MBA and MBA HRM courses.
  • Shortlisted candidates must participate in a Personal Interview and Theme Development & Presentation.
  • Final selection is based on the entrance test score, performance in PI & TDP, and Academic Performance.

MBA (Family Business and Entrepreneurship)

IMNU in Ahmedabad will conduct an Entrance Test to shortlist students, which consists of the following structure:

  • The test duration is 120 minutes and has four sections of 30 questions each: Logic & Data Interpretation, Quantitative Skills, Verbal Skills, and General Knowledge.
  • Candidates from Business Families will receive an additional score of 5 points.
  • The Entrance Test will be conducted in Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Mumbai.
  • Screened applicants will need to participate in a Communication Test and Personal Interview.
  • Final selection is based on the candidate’s past academic record, Entrance Test, Communication Test, and Interview.

The Institute of Management at Nirma University provides a 5-year Integrated BBA-MBA course with a seat intake capacity of 240. The selection process for the course is based on the IPMAT entrance exam, and the final selection is dependent on the personal interview round of the students.

IMNU Integrated BBA-MBA Eligibility

The course has certain minimum eligibility requirements which are as follows:

  • Candidates must have secured 60% marks in aggregate in the 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination.
  • Those who have completed their qualifying examination from a university outside India must provide an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
  • Candidates must be aged 20 years or below as on 1st July of the year of admission.
  • NRI sponsored candidates must provide a Sponsorship Letter from an NRI, along with an undertaking to pay all tuition and other fees for the entire course.
  • In addition, they must also provide documentary evidence of the sponsor having NRI status. 

IMNU Integrated BBA-MBA Selection Criteria

The institute follows a two-phase selection process for admission to the Integrated BBA-MBA course.

Firstly, candidates with a valid score in the IPMAT entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore, are shortlisted by the institute.

Secondly, the screened candidates are called for a personal interview, for which they should carry their documents.

The final selection is based on the academic performance in the qualifying exam (12th), score in the IPMAT exam, and performance in the personal interview.

  • Selection process for Gujarat Candidates: Applicants from Gujarat will be selected based on their performance in the 12th standard exam and personal interview.

  • Selection process for Foreign Nationals: NRI candidates will be selected based on the merit of their qualifying exam. For NRI Sponsored candidates, the institute will conduct its own admission test for shortlisting. The final selection for these candidates will be based on their performance in the admission test, personal interview, and 12th standard exam.

IMNU Integrated BTech-MBA Admission 2024

The Integrated B.Tech MBA course offered by IMNU Ahmedabad has a duration of 5 years. Selection for this course is based on the scorecard of the JEE (Main) entrance exam, and the final selection is made after a personal interview round with the students.

Eligibility for IMNU Integrated BTech-MBA Program:

To seek admission in the first year of Integrated B. Tech (CSE)-MBA program, candidates must have cleared the HSC or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. Additionally, the candidate should have appeared for the JEE (Main) examination.

International students can apply for admission under either of the following two categories:

Category 1: Foreign nationals who possess non-Indian passports (FN), or foreign students who hold non-Indian passports and also have the OCI or PIO card (OCI/PIO), can apply under the OCI/PIO/FN Supernumerary category, which reserves 10% of the seats. Students from SAARC countries may also apply under the FN category, but they will be charged fees according to the regular Indian national fees.

Category 2: Students whose parents are currently working in Gulf countries or Southeast Asia may apply under the CIWGC-SEA Supernumerary category, which reserves 5% of the seats. These students must hold Indian passports and must have passed the qualifying exams either in India or outside India.

The selection process for IMNU Integrated BTech-MBA consists of the following steps:

  • The first step involves shortlisting of candidates based on their performance in the JEE entrance exam.
  • The shortlisted candidates will then be called for a Personal Interview round.
  • The interview will be conducted in selected cities such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Indore, Delhi, Jaipur, and Mumbai.
  • Finally, candidates will be selected based on their performance in the JEE entrance exam, Personal Interview, and academic performance in XII.
  • Note that the institute reserves the right to add or drop any interview center.

IMNU PhD Admission 2024

The Institute of Management at Nirma University offers both full-time and part-time Ph.D. courses, with admission based on the scorecard of the NET/JRF/SLET/GATE/GPAT entrance exams. Additionally, the final selection of candidates is made on the basis of their performance in a personal interview.

The following are the eligibility requirements for the full-time Ph.D. course:

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or an equivalent professional degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent Grade “B” in the UGC 7 Point Scale. Final year candidates may also apply if they meet the eligibility criteria by June 30th.

The eligibility criteria for the Part-Time PhD course are as follows:

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or an equivalent professional degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent Grade “B” in the UGC 7 Point Scale.

OR

Candidates who possess a degree equivalent to an MPhil degree from an Indian institution, from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency, are also eligible to apply.

The selection process for the IMNU PhD program involves the following steps:

  1. Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the Admission Test, which is conducted by the institute. However, candidates who have qualified for UGC NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/GPAT/Teacher Fellowship/M.Phil are exempted from appearing in the Admission Test.

  2. The Admission Test is conducted in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Indore, and Jaipur.

  3. Candidates who score more than 50% marks in the Admission Test or are exempted based on their qualifications mentioned above are called for a Personal Interview round.

  4. The final selection is based on the candidate’s score in the Admission Test and performance in the Personal Interview.

Note: For the part-time PhD course, qualified candidates must also present their research interest/area before a Department Research Committee.

Selection of candidates is based on the following set of criteria:

  • The interview/viva-voce evaluation will take into account whether the candidate has the necessary competence for the proposed research, whether the research work is feasible at the institution, and whether the proposed research area can contribute to new knowledge.

  • The University will organise an interview/viva-voce session, during which candidates will be required to present their research interest/area before the Department Research Committee.

  • The final selection of candidates will be based on the entrance test score, which will carry a weightage of 70%, and performance in the interview/viva-voce, which will carry a weightage of 30%.
