Admission to IIT Bhubaneswar in 2024
Admissions to BTech programs at IIT Bhubaneswar are based on the JEE Advanced score for the year 2024, followed by the JoSAA Counselling process. As of now, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the exam dates for JEE Main 2024. Session 1 is scheduled for January 24, 2024, and February 1, 2024, while Session 2 will take place on April 1, 2024, and April 15, 2024.
IIT Bhubaneswar is also currently accepting applications for PhD admissions. The deadline for online applications for all applicants is set for November 23, 2023.

IIT BBS offers five years of full-time dual degree programmes in addition to four years of full-time B.Tech courses.

IIT Bhubaneswar B.Tech. Computer Science Engineering Eligibility Requirements
- The potential candidate must have been born on or after October 1, 1994. Candidates from the SC, ST, and PwD groups are given a five-year extension.
- The only applicants who are qualified to appear are those who passed their 10+2 exam the previous year or are taking it this year.
- To be qualified for the various B Tech programme specialties, you must have an overall grade point average of at least 75%.
- The candidate must have achieved a JEE Main and JEE Advanced qualifying score of 2,25,000.
- The seats will be divided into divisions for each branch: 10% for the Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS), 15% for the scheduled Caste, 7.5% for the Scheduled Tribe (ST), and 27% for the Other Backward Classes belonging to the “Non Creamy layer.”

B.Tech. IIT Bhubaneswar Selection Criteria
A merit list will be created category-wise, including candidates’ All India Ranks (AIR), taking into account the results of the 12th grade test, JEE Main, and JEE Advanced scores.

Criteria for M.Tech. selection at IIT Bhubaneswar
- Before submitting an online application on the IIT Bhubaneswar website, all GATE-qualified applicants who are interested in applying for M.Tech. admission to the institute need first register on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP).

Criteria for M.Sc. selection at IIT Bhubaneswar

Integrated Ph.D. Application Process at IIT Bhubaneswar
- Only through the JAM Online Application Processing System can candidates submit an application for the entrance exam (JOAPS).
- Candidate registration requires the entry of a name, a working email address, a mobile number, and a password.

Integrated M.Tech Admission at IIT Bhubaneswar 2024
There are nine specialties available in the five-year dual degree programme (B.Tech+M.Tech) at IIT Bhubaneswar. Students who successfully complete the 10th semester will receive a B.Tech. and M.Tech. degree. JEE Advanced is used for programme admission, and afterwards JoSAA counselling is used.

Admissions to the IIT Bhubaneswar Post Doctoral Fellowship in 2024
This post is only temporary and time-limited; it cannot be viewed as a member of the Institute’s permanent cadre in any way. The fellowship is initially available for one (1) year, however it may be extended for an additional year depending on the Fellow’s contributions.
Eligibility for IIT Bhubaneswar Fellowship
Candidates should be under 35 years old, have a Ph.D. within the last two years, and have a strong academic background in the discipline.
