IISER Trivandrum Courses and Fees Structure

IISER Trivandrum courses are offered at the undergraduate level as well as at the Doctoral level of study. Courses offered by IISER Thiruvananthapuram at the Undergraduate level is a Dual-degree Bachelor of Science & Master of Science or B.S – M.S Programme with a duration of five years.

It is the flagship program of all IISERs. During the first two years of this course, the students are involved with coursework in all subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Humanities, Mathematics, Biology and Interdisciplinary courses.

Then, in the next two years, the students get a chance to choose courses in a ‘Major’ and a ‘Minor’ subject according to their preference. In the final year of study students only work on a research project on their Major subject.

IISER Trivandrum PhD or Doctoral of Philosophy is offered in Physics, Chemistry, Humanities, Mathematics and Biology with a duration of five years. IISER Thiruvananthapuram fee structure for PhD is Rs. 3.17 Lakhs.

Another course offered in IISER Trivandrum is an Integrated Doctor of Philosophy with a duration of three years. Students of IISER who apply for this program can start their course by attending classes with third-year students of dual degree B.S.- M.S. programme.
