Scholarships

IIM Trichy Scholarships

The following are the particulars of scholarships available at IIM Trichy:

  1. Fellowships for Doctoral Programme Management (DPM) students:

    • Regular expense: INR 30,000 per month
    • Startup grant: INR 50,000
    • Conference grant: INR 2,00,000 per student
    • Contingency grant: INR 30,000 per year
    • Field research grant: INR 50,000 (maximum limit)
  2. Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities:

    • Tuition fee and non-refundable charges: Up to INR 2 lakh per annum (subject to actual amount)
    • Purchase of a computer with accessories: INR 30,000 (one-time grant)
    • Purchase of aids and assistive devices: INR 30,000 (one-time grant)
    • Maintenance allowance: INR 3,000 per month (Hostellers) / INR 1,500 per month (Day-Scholar)
    • Books and stationery: INR 5,000 per annum
    • Special allowances (related to types of disabilities like reader allowance, helper allowance, etc.): INR 2,000 per month
  3. Merit cum Means-based Scholarship for students belonging to Minority Communities:

    • Course fee: INR 20,000 p.a. subject to actual, whichever is less (for both Hostellers and Day Scholars)
    • Maintenance allowance: INR 1,000 per month for 10 months (Hosteller) / INR 500 per month for 10 months (Day Scholar)

IIM Trichy Scholarships provided by the Government of India 

  • Central Sector Scholarship of Top Class Education for ST students

CSS Scholarships are available for deserving ST students, and eligibility is determined by their annual parental income from the previous financial year. To qualify for CSS Top-Class Education, students must belong to the ST category, and their minimum family income should be INR 8,00,000.

  • Central Sector Scholarship of Top Class Education for SC students

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, awards CSS Scholarships to SC students based on their annual parental income from the previous financial year. To be eligible for CSS Top-Class Education under IIM Trichy Scholarships, the maximum income limit for SC students is INR 8,00,000.

  • Fellowships for Doctoral Programme Management (DPM) students

Students pursuing the Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM) receive fellowships to cover regular research expenses, hardware and software needs, and more. The fellowships include a complete waiver of tuition fees and hostel expenses.

  • Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities 

The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India, introduces CSS scholarships for Students with Disabilities (SwDs). These scholarships offer financial assistance to students undertaking studies at the UG/PG/Diploma level.

Eligibility

Eligible students must be enrolled in studies at the UG/PG/Diploma level in recognised institutions of educational excellence. To qualify, students should have a disability exceeding 40%, along with a valid certificate verifying the same. Additionally, the students’ annual family income should not exceed INR 6,00,000 from all sources.

  • Merit cum means based scholarship for Minority students 

The Merit cum Means scholarship is extended to students affiliated with Minority communities, including Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis/Zoroastrians.

Eligible students must have achieved a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in their most recent final examination. Additionally, their annual family income should not exceed INR 2.50 lakhs from all sources.
