IIM Raipur: Latest Updates and Announcements

  • Times B-School Ranking 2025: IIM Raipur has been ranked 8th among the Top 100 B-Schools in India.

  • CAT 2024 Cutoff for MBA Admissions 2025: IIM Raipur has released the cutoff for shortlisting candidates for the GD-PI round. The overall cutoff for the General category is 96 percentile, while for the General PWD category, it is 48.68 percentile.

  • PhD Admissions 2025-26: Applications are open for various PhD programs. Interested candidates can apply via the official portal admission.iimraipur.edu.in until May 10, 2025.

    • Personal Interviews: Scheduled from May 26 to 28, 2025.
    • Result Announcement: June 5, 2025.
    • Program Commencement: June 22, 2025.
  • MBA Admissions 2025-27: The GD & PI rounds will be conducted across eight cities on January 30, 2025 (Tentative). The first-year fee for the 2025-27 batch is INR 10,29,500.

  • IIM Raipur has announced the MBA Admission Results for the 2025–27 batch. Candidates can view their results and complete the PI registration process through the official portal: mba.iimraipur.edu.in/ext/adm/login.

 

Admission to IIM Raipur for the year 2025 will be conducted via a Common Admission Process (CAP), alongside nine other IIMs. The selection process for the MBA program at IIM Raipur is centered around the CAT, followed by a Personal Interview. The CAT cutoff for IIM Raipur stands at 94 percentile overall and 73 percentile for sectional scores. The MBA intake capacity for the 2024-26 batch at IIM Raipur is set at 328 students.

IIM Raipur course admissions 2025 for MBA

IIM Raipur PGP admission includes the stages mentioned below:

CAT Registration  Candidates will have to register for CAT and apply to IIM Raipur in the same form.
CAT Exam Applicants will have to appear for the CAT exam. 
Shortlisting for PI  The candidates who will clear the minimum overall as well as the sectional cut-off of CAT will be shortlisted for the personal interview.
Personal Interview The personal interview will be conducted through CAP.
Final Selection  The final selection will be based on various parameters that include the CAT score, PI score, VARC section score, and profile.

IIM Raipur Admission Criteria for PGP 2025

STAGE I: Personal Interview Shortlisting Round

Students are selected based on their CAT scores to appear for Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). CAT exams’ sectional cut off and overall percentile are taken into consideration for shortlisting students.

Stage 3: Offer Acceptance

For a limited time the IIM Raipur portal would be opened for students to submit the admission fee of INR 75,000. This is basically a confirmation and acceptance of the admission seat at IIM Raipur. But those who would like to withdraw will be refunded a fee of INR 1000 before registration dates.

IIM Raipur admission criteria for MBA Selection (Foreign Students)

  • Students must have a valid score in GMAT of 650 or above.
  • They must hold a relevant and justifiable passport.
  • Students must have a TOEFL certificate (if required). With an iBT score of 80 an PBT score of 520.
  • Upon application submission and thorough evaluation an interview will be conducted through video conferencing.

IIM Raipur Admission Criteria for EPGP 2025

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have scored at least 50% in their bachelor’s degree. The relaxation for different category of students are as follows:

  • Women candidates: 45% aggregate
  • SC / ST / PwD candidates: 40% aggregate
  • Also a work experience of minimum 02 years is mandatory.

IIM Raipur EPGP Selection Criteria

IIM Raipur EPGP Admission Merit list is prepared after 2 phase shortlisting process.

STAGE I: Basic Shortlisting (CS)

  • Performance at 10+2 level.
  • Performance at graduation level.
  • Work experience level
  • Diversity Factor for female candidates and for those from non-engineering backgrounds.
  • OBC candidates will be given a 10% relaxation in shortlisting as per cut off for general category.
  • SC / ST / PWD would be given a 20% relaxation in shortlisting.

STAGE II: Interview Round

  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interview round based on CS (shortlisting) score. 
  • The candidates would be evaluated on:

STAGE III: Final Merit List

Shortlisted students would be considered for admission based on the composite score in CS and interview.

IIM Raipur course admissions for PGPMWE 2025

Eligibility Criteria: Candidate applying for IIM Raipur PGPM WE Program should have passed bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 50% marks in any relevant discipline.

Work Experience: A minimum 3 years of work experience is mandatory to be eligible post-qualifying bachelor’s degree exams.

IIM Raipur Selection criteria

  • Applicants will be admitted based on their scores in the CAT entrance exam.
  • They will be further called for GD and PI.
  • An NOC must be arranged for, if selected for admission from the current employer.

Entrance Exam Pattern

The entrance exam is a two hours paper consisting of 60 MCQs divided into the following sections each consisting of 20 questions:

IIM Raipur course admissions for EFPM 2025

IIM Raipur offers EFPM program is designed for working professionals having at least 7 Years of industry experience. The following specialisations are offered under this program. They are Business Policy and Strategy, Economics and Business Environment, Finance and Accounting, Information Technology and System, Marketing Management, Operations Management, and Organisational Behaviour & HRM.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidate should have a master’s degree in any discipline, with at least 60% aggregate or equivalent to be eligible for admission at EFPM program of IIM Raipur.

Key Points: 

  • Applicant with a PGP / EPGP / PGPWE from any IIM with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 out of 10 point scale is also eligible.
  • CA / ICWA with a degree and CS with B.Com degree with a minimum 60% aggregate or equivalent.
  • An Integrated master’s degree in any discipline with 60% marks, obtained in +2 or equivalent.
  • Four year / 8 semester B.E. / B.Tech / B.Arch with CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or equivalent.
  • A mandatory work experience of 7 years.

Note: Candidates with a score in PGP / PGPWE / EPGP from IIMs with 6.0 out of 10 point scale (with no ‘F’s and not more than two ‘D’s in the first year) are exempted from submitting entrance test scores.

IIM Raipur PhD Admission 2025 – Eligibility, Process, and Dates

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates can apply for the PhD program at IIM Raipur if they meet any of the following criteria:

  • Master’s degree or PGP from any IIM

  • B.Com along with a professional qualification (CA/CS/ICWA)

  • Integrated Master’s degree with at least 60% aggregate marks

  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.5

Admission Process:
