IIM Amritsar Admission Criteria for IBM Selection

IIM Amritsar utilises a three-stage selection process for the IBM program, as outlined in the following sections:

IIM Amritsar IBM Selection Criteria: Pre-PI Score

Candidates will be shortlisted for the personal interview based on the Pre-PI score, which will be computed using parameters such as IET score, previous academic records, B.Tech marks, and gender diversity. The respective weightage for these parameters is detailed in the table below:

IIM Amritsar IBM Selection Criteria: Post-PI Score

Shortlisted candidates will undergo a personal interview where they will be assessed based on various factors, including their academic background, communication skills, general awareness, and extracurricular activities.

Following the interview, Post-PI scores will be computed, taking into account parameters such as the PI Score, 10th-grade academic records, and gender diversity. The respective weightage for each parameter in calculating Post-PI scores is detailed in the table below:

A merit list will be created based on categories using the final composite score, and selected candidates will receive provisional admission offers.

IIM Amritsar IBM Admission: How to apply?

Applicants must complete the IBM application form online at www.iimamritsar.ac.in and pay a fee of INR 2,000 (INR 1,000 for SC/ST category candidates).

The Master of Science in Data Science and Management (MSDSM) is a full-time 2-year residential program offered jointly by IIM Amritsar and IIT Ropar. To be eligible for this program, candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.0 or first class. The MSDSM admission process consists of the following stages:

Candidates will be initially shortlisted based on their performance in exams such as CAT, GATE, GMAT, GRE, or JAM. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited for a personal interview. The final selection will be determined by a composite score that considers various factors, including the personal interview, previous academic performance, gender diversity, and work experience. The weightage assigned to each of these parameters is provided below:

To apply for the MSDSM program, candidates should follow these steps:

2. Register and activate your account using your registered email ID.
3. Log in to your account and begin filling out the MSDSM application form.

Make sure to have the following documents ready for uploading while filling out the application form:

1. Class 10th mark sheet and passing certificate.
2. Class 12th mark sheet and passing certificate.
3. Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree mark sheet and passing certificate.
4. Work experience certificate.
5. Category-based certificate (if applicable).
6. Scanned passport-sized photograph.
7. Scanned signature.
