IIIT Trichy Campus Facilities

IIIT Tiruchirappalli was functioning in the premises of Bharathidasan Institute of Technology or BIT Campus. Then the IIIT Trichy campus was shifted to the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. Since then The NITT campus shares all sorts of facilities with IITT.

The resources shares by NITT include Boys and Girls Hostels, Messes, Central Library, Sports Facilities, Swimming Pool, Hospital, Bank, Post Office, Canteen, Classrooms, Laboratories and Central Computing facilities. IIIT Trichy provides a library with over a thousand books related to the academic and non-academic fields. 

IIIT Trichy permanent campus is planned to be construed over  56 acres of land, located in Sethurapatti Village, Srirangam Taluk in Tiruchirappalli. It is just 15 km away from Tiruchirappalli Junction and 10 km from Viralimalai Town, Pudukkottai District also it is near to the highway of Tiruchirappalli to Madurai. IIIT Trichy library will be construed on this new campus.

There is a student-driven club called Feliz club, which is formed to identify the needs of socially weaker sections such as old age homes, orphanages as well as to extend a helping hand to their requirements.

Apart from that, there are student-driven clubs like App Devs Club, Web Devs Club, Game Devs Club, Competitive Coding Club, Robotics Club, Electronix Club, IoT Club e and many others.

IIIT fest in Trichy campus has several fests all around the year. Institute Day is fest where meritorious students are awarded certificates and medals, as well as activities like Indian Classical Dance, Solo Dance, Mono Act, Group Dance etc, are organised.

Every year IIIT Trichy celebrates a three-day long sports festival during the first week of March when various sports events like football, kabaddi, cricket, carrom, tennis, badminton, chess are conducted by the Institute. Also, there is a Literature Festival Atrang that is arranged by the students of the institute.
