IIIT Kalyani – Indian Institute of Information Technology Campus Facilities

The Government of West Bengal has lent support to the institute by granting 50 acres of land for setting up the Campus. While construction has been started in the area provided, the institute is presently running from the temporary campus at Webel IT Park, Kalyani.

The infrastructure of the building is pretty good and sufficient for the functioning of the institution. The classrooms alloted for the institution are smart classrooms, which have video conferencing facility. Faculties and industry experts from distant locations take classes and interact with the students through video conferencing in the classrooms. The classroom has the capacity of accomodating more than a 100 students.

Library:

The institute has recently developed its own library with quality books both technical and non-technical.Famous magazines like India Today and many more. Further, IIIT Kalyani is developing cooperative arrangements with the American library for its students.The students have the access to the National digital library.

Hostel Facilities:

The institute provides accommodation for outstation students on payment basis in rented apartments. Separate accommodation is provided for boys and girls students. The institute has hired four hostels, three for boys and one for girls. The hostels are well situated accessible to all conveniences (playgrounds, market, railway station, bus stops). All the hostels are equipped with WiFi and 24 Hrs security.
