Being one of the best technical colleges in India, IIITDM Kancheepuram is determined to give its students all the benefits that help them to create a better future. Besides giving quality engineering education, the college also offers nice placements to its students.

IIITDM Kancheepuram has its Training and Placement cell to look after all the placement related things. The T&P Cell does its work with full dedication.

The college has its own process of placement drives. First, the willing companies send the criteria to the college, then according to the criteria, the college shortlists the eligible students and sends their profile to the companies. Afterwards, the companies visit the campus for the final rounds of selections.

In the year 2018-2019, IIITDM Kancheepuram has witnessed a great placement scenario. Around 37 major companies have visited the campus and a total no of 135 students placed from undergraduate batches and 137 students from dual degree and postgraduate degree.

The highest package offered was 20 lakhs per annum. Some of the recruiters are GE, TCS, HCL, Trimble, Larsen and Toubro, Ashok Leyland, Vimana, Pricol, Saint-Gobain.
