Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology [GJUST], Hisar Campus Facilities

Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology Campus offers a variety of facilities to cater to the daily needs of students and provide assistance during emergencies. These facilities include a library, health center, day care center, hostels, sports facilities, auditorium, conference halls, cafeteria, shopping complex, and a guidance and counseling cell.

The university provides hostel facilities for both girls and boys. The hostel rooms are spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with amenities such as a common room, gymnasium, cyber lab, and Wi-Fi. Additionally, the hostels are under constant CCTV surveillance. There are a total of 8 hostels, with 4 designated for girls and 4 for boys.

HOSTELS

To provide residential facilities in the form of hostel accommodation to the maximum number of students is in the priority of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology. University provides hostel accommodation to all girls students who make a request for it. There are nine hostels, four for boys and four for girls in the university, which can house more than 2000 students. In addition to this One hostel (Working Woman Hostel) is exclusively being constructed for Ph.D. Research scholar and Working Woman in the University. Each hostel is provided with indoor and outdoor game facilities by the hostel administration and as well as by the sports department. Medical facilities are provided by the university Health Centre to the entire resident along with 24 hours ambulance facility. All the hostels are provided with 24 hours Internet connectivity through physical and wireless mode.

SPORTS

The University Sports Department was established in the year 1996. The entire Sports Complex is spread in an area of 40 Acres. The Sports Complex has one Hall for Badminton with Two Synthetic Badminton Courts, one Hall for Table-Tennis with Four Tables, Carom board and, Chess, one Conditioning Hall (Men) for 13 station Multi-Gym, one Conditioning Hall (Women) 06 six station, Yoga and Weight lifting, three half cemented Cricket pitch, one ground each for Football, Hand ball, Cricket and Athletic Track of 400 meter and three Volleyball grounds. In addition, the Sports Complex has two cemented Basketball courts with lights, two Volleyball courts with fencing and lights, two synthetic and one cemented Lawn Tennis courts with Lights and fencing. Timings for Sports activities in summer season are Morning 05:30 A.M. to 08:30 A.M. Evening 04:30 P.M. to 08:30 P.M and winter season Morning 06:00 A.M. to 09:00 A.M. Evening 04:00 P.M. to 08:00 P.M for University students and Staff Members. The Sports Equipments/ kits are issued to the students as well as to the University Employees during tournaments. The 35 Institutes were affiliated to the University of Hisar District. The Inter College tournaments in various games organized by this University and some of them were also given to affiliated institutes. The University team participated in various games like Judo, Karate, Taekwono, Wrestling, Yoga, Wushu, Pencek Silat, Chess, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Hand ball, Cross-Country, Weight lifting, Volleyball, Cricket and Annual Athletic Meet. Sports facilities for indoor games are also being created in the Boys and Girls Hostels. Adventure Sports activities are also conducted in various events i.e. Skiing Course, Motor Bike Tour and Trekking etc.
