IPU Scholarships 2024

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) provides a variety of scholarships for deserving and financially disadvantaged students. Eligible students can apply for IPU scholarships by meeting specific criteria. In addition to scholarships, the university offers financial aid to support students.

The scholarships offered by GGSIPU Delhi include:

GGSIPU EWS Scholarship

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) provides scholarships specifically designed for candidates from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of society. This scheme is open to all students who meet the minimum eligibility criteria. A dedicated committee evaluates each applicant’s financial needs based on various factors including family livelihood patterns, number of dependents, family health status, academic merit, and other relevant parameters. The maximum grant offered under this scheme is INR 50,000, with the possibility of an increase in exceptional circumstances.

Eligibility criteria for the GGSIPU EWS Scholarship include:

  • The student’s family must possess a National Food Security Card (Statement of last 6 Months Transaction).
  • The annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakhs.

Applicants must submit a completed application form along with necessary documents to the Directorate of Student Welfare (DSW) by the specified deadline. All applications received will be published on the official website. Applicants are required to appear before the committee along with their parents at the designated venue and time. No requests for rescheduling will be entertained. The list of selected candidates for the GGSIPU EWS Scholarship will be published on the website, and students are advised to check regularly for updates.

GGSIPU Entrepreneurship Development Programme 

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) provides a monthly grant of INR 5000 to students actively involved in entrepreneurial pursuits. Interested students must submit a detailed action plan outlining their proposed entrepreneurial activities. Recipients of this grant are expected to utilise it for participating in workshops, seminars, hackathons, and other events aimed at fostering entrepreneurship. Additionally, students can use the grant to support other students in raising additional funds. They may also enroll in entrepreneurship-related courses offered by platforms like Udemy, Coursera, MSME, Niti Aayog, DIPP, etc.

Beneficiaries are required to submit a progress report every six months, accompanied by a detailed presentation documenting their entrepreneurial journey.

GGSIPU Hana Scholarship

GGSIPU collaborates with the Hana Nanum Foundation to offer scholarships to financially disadvantaged students, differently abled students, children of differently abled parents, and outstanding students with top academic achievements. According to the latest information, a total of 23 students from five colleges of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, including the main campus, have received this scholarship. The scholarship duration is one year, with the possibility of renewal if the student continues to meet the eligibility criteria.

To apply for the GGSIPU Hana Scholarship, applicants need to submit the following documents:

GGSIPU Merit-cum-Means​ Scholarship

Students at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) have the opportunity to apply for the Merit-cum-Means Linked Financial Assistance Scheme, which is sponsored by the Government of NCT of Delhi. Eligible students must be enrolled in undergraduate courses at Delhi State Public Universities or colleges/institutes affiliated with these universities.

GGSIPU DLF Scholarship

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) collaborates with the DLF Foundation through the DLF Raghvendra Scholarship Programme. Under this initiative, GGSIPU nominates four students annually for consideration for the DLF Raghvendra Scholarship, with the final selection made by the DLF Foundation. The scholarship provides INR 40,000 per student per year, covering actual fees and hostel charges payable to GGSIPU. Continuation of the scholarship depends on the recipients’ academic performance in subsequent years, and DLF reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship if satisfactory academic standards are not maintained. In such cases, the scholarship may be awarded to another deserving student in the same year. If the MoU between GGSIPU and DLF ends, the DLF Foundation commits to continue funding the scholarship until the completion of the respective courses for the students.

Eligibility criteria for the GGSIPU DLF Scholarship include:

  • Parental income should not exceed INR 3 Lakhs per annum.
  • Only first-year students are eligible to apply.
  • The scholarship is awarded based on merit, with consideration given to performance in the institute’s entrance examination (IPU CET) or at the national level.
