Government College of Engineering Karad  B.Tech  Admission 2018

Government College of Engineering Karad offers admission B.Tech. programs on the basis of performance in JEE Advanced, national level entrance exam conducted collectively by the IITs. Candidates should have passed at 10+2 level from the science stream to be eligible to apply.

JEE  Main is a 3-hour paper which consists of 90 questions covering all relevant subject matter to the engineering field.

  • Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are given equal weightage.
  • The questions are objective type.
  • Four marks are given for every correct response, and 1/4th
    mark is deducted for incorrect response.

    Maharashtra State Category

For those who wish to apply under Maharashtra State category, candidates must be Indian citizens who cleared their 10+2 from Maharashtra State Board. Government College of Engineering Karad offers admission to M.Tech. program on the basis of performance in the national level entrance conducted collectively by the IITs – GATE. Admission to MCA course is done through counselling conducted by DTE Maharashtra. Candidates should have passed at the undergraduate level from the relevant stream to be eligible to apply.

GATE consists of a 3-hour paper with 65 questions covering all relevant subject matter to the field as studied at the undergraduate level.

The application process varies for different courses offered by the institute.

For JEE and GATE:

  • A notification will be released by the IIT, following which the application forms will be officially released.

  • Candidates must submit the duly filled-in form, along with scanned photograph and photocopies of marksheet
  • Online payment of the application fee can be done through net banking.

For DTE Counselling:

  • The application fee of INR 700 (INR 500 for reserved categories) should be paid to acquire the application kit
