The PGDM program at GIMS spans two years and follows a trimester system. The first year focuses on core courses, while the second year incorporates elective courses, offering dual specialisation. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The reputation of any institution is shaped by its stakeholders, and among them, students play a crucial role in steering the trajectory of an educational institution. With a focus on its stakeholders, the admission process commences by evaluating the profiles of prospective candidates.
- The candidate should demonstrate a strong and consistent academic background, with consideration given to performance in the 10th grade, 12th grade, and each year of graduation during the selection process.
- Eligibility for the PGDM course requires the successful completion of the bachelor’s degree examination from any recognised Indian university, with a minimum of 50% marks for the General category and a minimum of 45% marks for the Reserved Category SC/ST. The candidate must hold Indian nationality or comply with the latest AICTE Guidelines.
- The application process will adhere to the most recent AICTE guidelines. Candidates awaiting final year examination results can apply under the condition of submitting their final mark-sheet by the 30th of October in the year of admission.
- To be eligible for the PGDM course, the candidate must have cleared or appeared for one of the following competitive exams as per AICTE requirements: CMAT, CAT, XAT, MAT, NMAT, or GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT). The scores from these examinations must be provided at the time of admission.
THE ADMISSION PROCESS
The aspirant must go through several stages of the selection process before securing admission to the institute. These stages are outlined below:

Application Form:
- Application forms can be obtained either offline or online through the admissions portal.
- The application processing fee is Rs. 1200/-, payable through credit card, debit card, or net banking.
- Correctly filling in all the details of the application form is crucial to progress to the next stage.

Screening of Application Form:
- The GIMS admission panel, appointed by the director for the specific academic year, will scrutinise the application forms.
- Shortlisting of application forms will be based on the following primary parameters:
- Consistency of academic record.
- Versatility of academic records.
- Relevant work experience for the program (if any).

Competitive Entrance Test (CET):
- Applicants shortlisted are invited for the GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT), a 45-minute test following the pattern of the CAT exam for Management PG aspirants.
- Exemption from GAT is granted if the candidate has taken any of the listed tests (CMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/NMAT*).

Group Discussion:
- Students with qualifying scores in GAT, CMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT, or NMAT will be invited for a Group Discussion, either on campus or virtually.
- The topic of discussion will be provided by a panelist/s, and scoring parameters will be determined.
- Following the Group Discussion, students will be given an opportunity to participate in a Personal Interview.
- The GD panel will consist of a minimum of two evaluators, and aspirants will be required to write an essay of 500 – 700 words on the GD topic.

Personal Interview:
- All students participating in the GD/PI process will also be invited for the personal interview.
- The personal interview, conducted by an interview panel with a minimum of two panelists, may take place online or offline based on circumstances.
FINAL SELECTION MERIT:
The student’s final selection will be based on merit, which will be determined according to the criteria outlined in the following table:
