The Talk Series
GIMS believes in educating the students through change makers in their fields. Catering to the idea, the institute organises talk series at three levels for the students:
a) The Chanakya Talk Series (CTS) - Under The Chanakya Talk Series (CTS), leaders from the corporate world are invited to speak to budding managers. These people lead their organizations to new heights and operate at senior leadership positions such as CEOs, CHROs, CXOs.
b) The Prabodhan Talk Series (PTS) - The Prabodhan Talk Series (PTS), is another platform for corporate interaction at a functional level. Industrial Visits / Immersive Industry Exposure @ GIMS
GIMS places a strong emphasis on real-world learning, offering multiple industrial visits throughout the PGDM program. Mentorship Programme Corporate Mentorship of students
The students are mentored by the in-house faculties and the corporate personnel right from the beginning of their course. This is done in a bi-fold fashion viz.,
a) Faculty Mentorship: This dynamic mentoring program fosters meaningful connections between faculty and students, providing personalized guidance that nurtures well-rounded development. Each faculty member is assigned a diverse group of students, offering tailored support, advice, and counselling. This comprehensive mentorship framework not only enhances academic success but also empowers students to thrive in their personal and professional lives, equipping them for future leadership.
b) Corporate Mentorship: The students are mentored by the corporate personnel from the II trimester, where the industry experts guide the students on the various aspects of industry demands from the professionals. This is done through the Resume to Role Series, a monthly activity which is practised rigorously.
IIC Incubation and Entrepreneurship :
GIMS, working closely with the Institute Innovation Councils (IICs), drives innovation and entrepreneurship through various activities such as workshops, seminars, and training sessions. These efforts include providing incubation support to help students refine their ideas and develop prototypes. By hosting hackathons, competitions, and industry collaborations, GIMS ensures that theoretical knowledge is effectively applied in practical settings. The IIC's focus at GIMS includes enhancing skills in design thinking, problem-solving, and leadership. Admission Process: | The aspirant has to undergo certain stages of the selection process before finally getting admitted to the institute. These stages are as follows; | |
Application Form: | Application forms can be procured either offline or online on the admissions portal. The Application processing fee is Rs. 1200/-. This fee can be paid through credit card, debit card or net banking. The student must fill all the details of the application form correctly for moving to stage 2. | |

Competitive Entrance Test (CET): | GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT) / CMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/NMAT*: Applicants shortlisted are invited for GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT), which is a 45 minutes test on the pattern of CAT exam for Management PG Aspirants. The candidate are exempted from GAT in case they have appeared in any of the listed tests. | |
Group Discussion and Essay Writing | The students who have qualifying score of GAT, CMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT or NMAT would be invited for Group Discussion on the campus or virtually. The topic of discussion will be provided by a panelist/s. The scoring parameters Upon taking the Group Discussion the students will be provided a chance to appear in a Personal Interview. Eligibility
The candidate is expected to have a strong and consistent academic background. Performance in X & XII grade and every year of graduation are considered in the selection process. A candidate may be considered eligible for the PGDM course if he/she has cleared the bachelor degree examination from any recognized Indian university with a minimum of 50% marks (for General category) and a minimum of 45% marks (only for Reserved Category SC/ST) having Indian nationality or as per latest AICTE Guidelines. The latest AICTE guidelines will be followed for inviting applications to the course. Students appearing or waiting for final year examinations can apply for the program on the condition of submitting their final mark-sheet by the 30th of October of the year of admission.
Qualifying Exams and Minimum Percentile/Score Accepted
A candidate can apply to the PGDM course if he/she has cleared or appeared for the following competitive exam as per AICTE requirement – CMAT/CAT/XAT/ MAT/NMAT or GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT). The score of these examinations are to be produced at the time of admission.

GNIOT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
GIMS also provides scholarships to the deserving candidates. The student shall (i) maintain 7.0 CGPA throughout the PGDM course (ii) maintain attendance over 75% in all subjects (ii) not have faced any disciplinary action for availing of the scholarship.
The criteria for offering scholarships is as under: (a) On the basis of Academic Record: Student with 65% overall in X, XII and graduation are eligible for Rs. 30,000/- scholarship on the tuition fee. (b) On the basis of Score in Entrance Exam: The following scholarships are awarded based on the academic scores of the aspirants.

Sports Quota: National achievement in any sport - Rs. 30,000/- deduction on tuition fees.

Armed Forces/Paramilitary Forces/Police Personnel Family Background: Rs. 30,000/- reduction on tuition fees.

GIMS SHAKTI SCHOLARSHIP: Exclusive for female students with a consistent academic performance of 55% throughout X, XII, and Graduation. Eligible students receive a Rs. 30,000 scholarship on tuition fees.

Any awarded scholarship will be adjusted in the second installment of the first year.

A candidate may avail of a scholarship in only one of the above categories.

The disbursement of any scholarship is contingent upon the candidate providing the requisite relevant documents.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND
The processing of admission cancellation and fee refund requests will follow the guidelines set by AICTE.
GNIOT Placements 2024
The highest and average packages extended during GNIOT placements in 2024 amounted to INR 70 LPA and INR 5.75 LPA, respectively. Previously, GNIOT conducted placements for the academic year 2022-2023. According to the most recent report, the highest package offered during GNIOT placements in 2023 reached INR 12.5 LPA, specifically granted to a student from the BTech CSE branch.
