Globsyn Business School (GBS) provides scholarships to students who are enrolled in its postgraduate management programs. These scholarships are awarded based on students’ academic accomplishments. The primary aim of these scholarship programs is to offer financial support to deserving students who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This assistance helps them pursue their postgraduate education at GBS Kolkata without the financial burden of tuition fees. The scholarships fall into two main categories: Economically Disadvantaged and Socially Challenged.
A) Kalyani Scholarship (for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds)
- Number of Scholarships: 7 (seven)
- Scholarship Coverage: 100% fee waiver, excluding the Admission Fee
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Students must have an outstanding academic record.
- Their parents’ or guardians’ income should fall below the specified “Parental Income Ceiling” criteria.
- Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

- Qualifying Aptitude Exam (CAT/MAT, etc.): >= 80 percentile
- Graduation: >= 60%
- Class 12 or equivalent: >= 75%
- Class 10 or equivalent: >= 75%

Applicants should also provide proof of other outstanding achievements.
Recipients of the scholarship must maintain an academic CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of >= 6.0 in all semesters at GBS and actively participate in Beyond Education activities at the institute.
The performance of scholarship recipients will be reviewed after each semester to assess their eligibility for continued fee waivers.
- Administration of Fee Waiver:
- All installments of the fee, except the initial Admission Fee, will be waived.
- If any installments have already been paid, they will be refunded after the due date of the last installment that would have been typically due.
B) Outstanding Achievers Scholarships (for students achieving recognition or excellence in sports or culture/arts areas)
- Number of Scholarships: 6 (3 in Sports and 3 in Arts)
- Scholarship Amount: INR 1,00,000 each
- Eligibility:
- For Sportspersons, students must have received recognition from a prominent sports body/association at the State or National level in any outdoor or indoor sporting event.
- In the Arts category, students achieving recognition or excellence from prominent bodies/associations at the Regional or National level in areas such as Debate, Quiz, Dance, Drama, etc., are eligible.
- The income of the student’s parents or guardians should not exceed the specified “Parental Income Ceiling” criteria.
- Recipients of the scholarship must maintain an academic CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of >= 5.0 in all semesters at GBS and actively participate in the institute’s Beyond Education activities.
- Scholarship recipients’ performance will be reviewed after each semester to determine their eligibility for a partial fee waiver.
- Administration of Fee Waiver:
- The fee waiver will be applied in two parts. The first part, 50% (i.e., INR 50,000/-), will be deducted from the penultimate installment, and the remaining 50% will be deducted in the last installment.
- Parental Income Ceiling:
- The parental income should not exceed INR 8 lakh per annum for both categories of Scholarships.
- Students are required to provide an income certificate or a self-attested copy of the last income tax return for their parent/guardian, along with a copy of the Aadhar Card (or equivalent government-allowed identification) for both the student and parent.
