DAIICT Gandhinagar Campus Facilities
DAIICT campus is located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat in India. It has all sorts of modern facilities like optical fibre cable connectivity between buildings, well-equipped IT infrastructure, computing and communication resources, electronic access controls and a payment system through smart cards. DAIICT campus area is spread over a large lush green land.
The campus has three air-cooled lecture theatres, two of them has a seating capacity of more than 200 and one with 250 along with audio and video presentation systems.
The classrooms and tutorial rooms are well equipped with audio-visual aids and have Internet connectivity. Other basic services are like the cafeteria, food courts, ATM, medical centre, campus shop, telephone kiosk, photocopying facilities, open-air theatre etc.
It has a laboratory building with all high-end facilities and ensures at least one computer available for each student along with faculty on the campus. Also, it grants 24 hours of lab facility and access to the network from each classroom and lecture theatre and hostel rooms.
The campus has a DAIICT faculty and administrative block that consists of four faculty blocks. Each block is with eighteen faculty rooms and two teaching assistant rooms. The campus has a Resource centre, which has various kinds of books related to Information Technology, Electronics, Mathematics, Science, Economics, Environment Studies and more.
The Institute offers all kinds of modern sports facilities and therefore it has a Sports and Cultural Complex. The sports facilities for outdoor sports include cricket, football, basketball, volleyball and indoor games like badminton, table tennis, chess and carrom. It also has a gymnasium and a music room.
There are two residence halls, one for men and one for women. The men’s hall has eight wings labelled A to H. Each wing has about 60 rooms. The total capacity of the eight wings is about 900 students on a twin sharing basis.
DAIICT hostels have separate halls of residence for girls and boys. DAIICT hostels facilities are compulsory for B.Tech. students.
Male postgraduate students are provided rooms subject to availability but all the female postgraduate students can be provided accommodation in the women’s hall of residence if they choose to stay on campus.
The hostels are provided with hot water service, laundry, TV rooms, a convenience store, local or STD or ISD facility, student warehouse and high-speed router in HOR-Men.
It has a Medical Centre with two doctors visiting the centre at specified hours. For emergency purposes, a cashless transaction facility has been provided to the students under the Mediclaim scheme.
