Scholarships and Scholar Support

Each PGDM participant is eligible for Scholar Support in the form of a partial or full fee waiver for every Interactive Learning Term, based on their performance in the preceding term.

Management Aptitude Test-score based Scholarships

The following table outlines the fee waiver percentages and the minimum academic standards required to qualify for the waiver:

Three terms are devoted to Experiential Learning Segments (ELS), immersing students in real-world institutional and organisational practice:

• Development Immersion (5 weeks): Students are embedded in rural communities, enabling observation and learning through conversational interactions.

• Enterprise Learning (6 weeks): Placed with collective and small enterprises, students learn the end-to-end functionalities of enterprises and corresponding business challenges.

• Management Internship (10 weeks): Coming as it does in the second year, when students have developed early ideas for their future contributions, they choose to be with entities that align the best. They work on a 'business problem' to gain learning through their work and the guidance of field mentors.

DMI offers state-of-the-art learning spaces equipped with advanced multimedia tools, creating an optimal environment for education. The fully air-conditioned facilities include provisions for student collaboration. PGDM- Post Graduate Programme in Development Management

DMI offers a two-year, full-time Post-Graduate Programme in Development Management (PDM) for individuals aspiring to build a rewarding career as Development Management Professionals, contributing to personal growth and social transformation. The PDM program is designed to:

• Foster personal growth by broadening perspectives through interactive learning in foundational, functional, and integrative courses, enriched with experiential learning and reflective dialogue.

DMI PGDM Admissions Selection Criteria 2025-2027

Admissions at the Development Management Institute (DMI), Patna, are based on a merit list that considers the candidate’s entrance exam score, academic performance, extracurricular activities, personal interview, and group exercises. Applicants must have a valid score in at least one of the following Management Entrance Exams: CAT 2024, XAT 2025, MAT (September 2024 or later), CMAT 2025, or GMAT.

How to Apply

Application Process

1. Eligibility to Apply for Admission to PDM

• A minimum of a 3-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates) from a recognised University/Institute approved by UGC or AICTE. Students who are appearing for their final year degree examination may also apply.
• A valid score in CAT 2024, XAT 2025, GMAT, CMAT 2025, or MAT (Sep 2024 or later) for 2025 admissions.

Please Note:

• Admissions Notification in November 2024.
• The application form must be submitted online by the specified deadline. Meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee automatic admission to the program.

2. Requirements to Complete the Application:

• Valid Registration Number of one of the Management Admission Tests (CAT 2024, XAT 2025, GMAT, CMAT 2025, MAT [Sep 2024 or later]) for 2025 admissions.
• Valid ID Proof (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport/Driving License/Voter Card).

3. Documents to Upload:

• Scanned copy of your signature in blue/black ink on a white background (in .jpg/.jpeg/.png format, file size not exceeding 2MB).
• Scanned copy of a recent passport-size color photograph (in .jpg/.jpeg/.png format, file size not exceeding 2MB).

4. Sponsored Candidates:

• Sponsored candidates must submit a supporting sponsorship letter from the sponsoring organisation when accepting the admission.

5. Steps to Fill the Online Application Form:

• Step 1: Register with a valid email ID and mobile number for verification and future correspondence.
• Step 2 & 3: Complete the form using the Application Number and password provided in your email.

6. Requirements During Form Submission:

• Photograph in JPEG/PNG format (max 2MB).
• Signature in JPEG/PNG format (max 2MB).
• Management Admission Test registration details (CAT 2024, XAT 2025, GMAT, CMAT 2025, or MAT [Sep 2024 or later]).

7. Documents Required for Admission:

• Mark sheets of 10th, 12th, and Graduation.
• Valid ID proof (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport/Driving License/Voter Card).
• Category/caste certificate issued by the competent authority of the Government of Bihar (if applicable).
• Residential proof for applicants claiming Domicile of Bihar.
• Disability certificate (for Differently-Abled candidates).
• Work experience certificate (if applicable).

8. Payment of Application Fee:

• Payment Modes: Internet Banking, Debit/Credit Card, UPI, Payzapp, QR, Wallet, Cash Cards.

Application Fee:

• Rs. 300 for General Category.
• Rs. 200 for BC, EBC, EWS, and Female candidates.
• Rs. 100 for SC/ST and Differently Abled (DA) candidates.

9. Application Number:

• After completing Step 1, an auto-generated Application Number will be provided to the applicants. This will be sent to your email (check both inbox and spam folder).

10. Confirmation:

• A confirmation email will be sent after the successful submission of the application form along with the payment.

11. Important Notes:

• No changes can be made to the application form after submission, so ensure all information is correct and complete before final submission.
• Only one application should be submitted per candidate. The application fee is non-refundable.

12. Deadline:

• The last date for submitting the online application for the Post Graduate Diploma in Development Management is April 15, 2025.

DMI Patna will update the placement details for 2024 once available. DMI has consistently maintained a record of 100% placements, with some students receiving multiple job offers. The institute provides placement assistance to its students. According to information on the official website, the average salary package offered to students in previous years was INR 4.8 LPA.
