Chitkara University Scholarships

Chitkara University does not offer scholarships at the institution level. However, students can benefit from various government scholarships available at both state and national levels. Below are the details of Chitkara University Scholarships, including their eligibility criteria and rewards:

Scholarships Eligibility Rewards
Punjab Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST
  • The students studying at the post-matriculation level i.e. class 11 to postdoctoral level can apply for this scholarship.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than INR 2.50 Lakh (INR 1 LPA for OBC)

SC:

  • Maintenance allowance of up to INR 1200 per month for hostellers and up to INR 550 per month for day scholars
  • An additional allowance of up to INR 240 per month for students with disabilities
  • Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees
  • Study tour charges of up to INR 1600 per annum
  • Thesis typing and printing charges of up to INR 1600 for research scholars
  • Book allowance of up to INR 1200 per annum for students pursuing correspondence courses

OBC:

  • Monthly maintenance allowance of up to INR 750 for hostellers and INR 350 for day scholars
  • Monthly reader charges of up to INR 175 for visually impaired candidates
  • Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees
  • Study tour charges of up to INR 900 per annum
  • Thesis typing and printing charges of up to INR 1000
Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for College and University Students
  • Candidates above the 80th percentile of successful students who have passed class 12 and are pursuing regular UG/PG course
  • Annual family income less than ₹8 Lakh
Up to ₹20,000 per annum till the completion of the course
NSP Scholarship Scheme for Minority Students (In addition, several other government scholarship schemes are available for minorities)
  • Student must belong to minority community from Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, and Zoroastrian/Parsi faith
  • Applicant must be pursuing studies in class 11-12, graduation, and postgraduation including technical or vocational courses. MPhil or PhD level courses/degrees
  • Applicant must have secured at least 50% or equivalent grade in the previous examination
  • Annual family income should noe exceed INR 2.5 LPA

UG & PG:

  • Admission and tuition fee of INR 3000 per annum (Both Hostellers and Day Scholars)
  • Maintenance Allowance of INR 570 per month (Hostellers) and INR 300 per month (Day Scholars)

MPhil & PhD:

  • Maintenance Allowance of INR 1200 per month (Hostellers) and INR 550 per month (Day Scholars)
AICTE Scholarship for J&K students
  • Candidate must be a domicile or permanent resident of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
  • Candidate must have passed class 12 examination from JKBOSE or CBSE affiliated schools located in UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
  • Candidate must have passed diploma in Engineering from the polytechnic institutes recognised by Directorate of Technical Education(DTE), J&K and Ladakh under Lateral Entry Scheme.
  • The annual family income from all the sources should be less than ₹8,00,000 per annum.
  • Fulfill minimum age and other eligibility criteria as prescribed by the institution/university.
  • General degree course – Academic Fee up to ₹30,000 and Maintenance Charges of up to ₹1,00,000
  • Professional degree course [Engineering/ B.Sc. Nursing/B.Pharmacy/ B.Architecture (subject to NATA)/HMCT Degree/BA LLB (in National Law Colleges only)] – Academic Fee of up to ₹1,25,000 and Maintenance Charges of up to ₹1,00,000
  • Medical/BDS or equivalent Medical Stream (subject to NEET, wherever applicable) – Academic Fee of up to ₹3,00,000 and Maintenance Charges of up to ₹1,00,000
