CVV Campus
Situated in the enchanting landscapes of Kerala, the Chinmaya Eswar Gurukula (CEG) campus holds a special place as it is housed in the sacred maternal birth home of Sri Adi Sankaracharya. It provides a tranquil and secure atmosphere that students easily embrace as their home away from home.
The academic block, known as Sankaram, blends traditional Kerala architecture with modern technology to create spacious and well-ventilated classrooms. Equipped with digital amenities and Wi-Fi access, these classrooms facilitate seamless interaction and learning among students and faculty. The ten-acre campus is adorned with lush greenery and open spaces, where classes and group discussions often take place, including the peaceful corners of the ancient Illom.
The Chinmaya student community consists of both hostel residents and day scholars, with transportation services available for those commuting from Kochi to the current campus in Veliyanad, Ernakulam.
Location & Accessibility
The CEG campus is conveniently located 47 km away from Kochi International Airport and 28 km from Ernakulam South Railway station. Public buses, taxis, and auto-rickshaws provide transportation options for students traveling to Ernakulam. At CNBG, the Sruthi library is a treasure trove of historically and culturally significant collections related to Indian performing arts. The libraries employ the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system and utilize the KOHA software, enabling a web-enabled online OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) with barcoded entries for the entire collection.
HOSTEL & AMENITIES
For students who opt for the hostel facility, secure shared accommodations are provided in separate hostels for males and females. Students also have access to amenities such as Wi-Fi connectivity and laundry facilities.
ANNAKSHETRA
With students and faculty members coming from diverse regions of India, catering to everyone’s culinary preferences can be a challenge. However, the kitchen team successfully meets this challenge by serving delicious and nutritious vegetarian meals three times a day.
FITNESS AND WELL-BEING
In addition to a wholesome diet, students are encouraged to maintain a regular exercise routine and engage in both indoor and outdoor sports under the guidance of an on-campus coach. The curriculum also includes yoga and meditation sessions, aiming to foster a balanced way of life.
