Established in 2012 in Mohali, Punjab, Chandigarh University is accredited with an "A+" Grade by NAAC and is recognised by UGC and AICTE. The university also holds approvals from ICAR, BCI, NCHMCT, PCI, COA, NCTE, AIU, and CSI. Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Chandigarh University is based on the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET). The admission process is conducted in two phases: CUCET Phase I and CUCET Phase II. The university offers a variety of programs including UG, PG, Specialised, Integrated, Lateral Entry, and Ph.D. courses. Additionally, industry collaborative programs in MBA and B.Tech CSE are available in partnership with top organisations such as IBM and SAP.

The highest national package reached INR 54.75 LPA, reflecting a 30% increase during the 2023-24 placement season. More than 10 companies offered CTCs of INR 25 LPA and above to the 2023 batch. Top recruiters included Amazon, Flipkart, Deloitte, IBM, Microsoft, and Ernst & Young.
