Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, popularly known as BAIT offers admission to the B.Tech courses is solely based on the Bannari Amman Institute of Technology cut off list published by the Anna University. Admission to the Undergraduate level courses is given through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission or TNEA conducted by the Anna University each year.

TNEA is a state-level counselling procedure. The application process for Undergraduate Programmes usually starts from 2nd or 3rd week of April or May and is closed in the last week of May. The Candidates who score above the cut-off marks move forward to the further admission process.

Admission to M.Tech courses is conducted on the basis of Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test or TANCET results, which is conducted by the Anna University, Chennai every year. It is a state-level entrance test and considered to give admission to M.Tech or ME or M.Arch or M.Plan or MBA or MCA degree programs. The application form for TANCET is provided online in the month of January and examination is taken in the month of March.

After that, the results of TANCET is declared in the month of April and admission process begins in the month of May. Hence, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology cut off 2018 is declared after TANCET scores are released. BAIT provides reservation to the candidates belonging to ST or SC or OBC or MBC & DNC or backward Muslim or Communal reservation to the residents of Tamil Nadu or PH or Ward of Ex-Servicemen.
