B.S Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology is a deemed university located at Seethakathi, Vandalur, Chennai. Crescent University was founded in 1984. Earlier, it was a Muslim minority institution and got affiliation from Madras University.

In December 2008, it got elevated as Deemed University.  A Philanthropist and Tamil businessman  B. S. Abdur Rahman founded this institution. It was affiliated to Anna University until 2008. It was renamed in 2017 as Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology following the guidelines of UGC.

Crescent Engineering College offers 48 programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level in various streams. B.S Abdur Rahman provides B.Tech, B.Com, BA, BBA, B.Sc., BCA, B.Arch, B.Des, B.Pharm, BBA LLB and B.Com LLB at the undergraduate level of study.
