BCECE Eligibility Criteria 2025 - Academic Qualification and Age Limit

BCECE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Students must verify the BCECE 2025 eligibility criteria before appearing for the examination. The BCECE is regulated by the BCECE Board and is a state-level entrance exam held annually.

BCECE organizes the BCECE examination to screen students for admission to medical, pharmacy, agriculture, and other courses offered by various colleges and institutions across Bihar.

Below are the eligibility criteria for applying to the BCECE 2025 application form for various courses, such as agriculture, pharmacy, etc. Candidates can check the qualification, domicile, and other eligibility requirements:

Domicile Criteria:

  • Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • The candidate should be a resident of Bihar state.
  • The candidate’s parents must be permanent residents of Bihar state.
  • Candidates whose parents are registered refugees of Bihar can also apply.
  • If the candidate’s parents are from another state but are government employees of Bihar, they are also eligible to apply.

Age Criteria:

  • Medical Courses: The candidate must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2025.
  • Pharmacy Courses: A minimum age of 17 years is required.
  • Agriculture Courses: The candidate must be at least 16 years old as of August 31, 2025.
  • For admissions, candidates must undergo a medical test. The candidate will be eligible for admission after passing this test.
  • There is no age limit for engineering courses.

Qualification Criteria:

For Pharmacy (4-year Course):

  • Qualifying Exam: The candidate must have passed intermediate or an equivalent exam from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: The candidate must have passed the qualifying exam with physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with one elective subject (either mathematics or biology).
  • Minimum Marks: A minimum of 45% marks (for general candidates) and 40% marks (for reserved candidates) in the intermediate or equivalent exam.
  • Candidates appearing for the 12th or equivalent exam are also eligible to apply but must have passed the exam by the time of counselling.

For Medical Courses:

  • Qualifying Exam: The candidate must have passed 10+2, higher secondary, or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: The candidate must have passed the above exam with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology).
  • Candidates who are appearing for the exam can also apply.
