An official notification regarding the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2020 for engineering has been released online. The examination is scheduled to be conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board on February 2, 2020.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the entrance test. For the very first time, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board has decided to conduct the WBJEE test much before the Uchha Madhyamik (HS) (class 10 and 12 Board examinations).
The online application process for the entrance test has commenced from October 18 2019, and candidates have time until November 13, 2019, to submit the online application by registering on the official website. The application fee for the general category candidates is Rs 700 whereas candidates eligible for reservation category should pay Rs 500 as the application fee.
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2020 is a state-level entrance cum eligibility test conducted to assess the eligibility of the candidates seeking admission into various undergraduate courses in engineering, pharmacy, and architecture.

WBJEE 2020: Eligibility Criteria
The students aspiring for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2020 should meet the required qualifications to be considered eligible for the examination. The eligibility criteria for the WBJEE 2020 is mentioned below.
Age Limit
- While there is no maximum age limit to appear for the examination for B.Tech courses except for Marine engineering.
- The maximum age limit to apply for this course is 25 years.
Educational Qualification
- The candidate should have completed 10+2/ Intermediate/ HS examination with Mathematics, Physics, English, and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Biotechnology as mandatory subjects with an aggregate of at least 45% marks and 30% marks in the English language paper. The aggregate for the reservation category students is 40% marks.
WBJEE 2020: How to apply online
The eligible students can apply online for the entrance cum eligibility test through the official website of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. The online application forms should be submitted before November 13, 2019.
Post which, the link for online registrations will be deactivated by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. The stepwise instructions to apply online for the WBJEE 2020 are mentioned below to help the students submit their application forms without any errors.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the WBJEE tab on the top left corner of the page
Step 3: A login page will be displayed on the screen, sign-in on the website with the required information and log in using the ID and password created
Step 4: Once logged in, fill the application accurately and proceed for the next step
Step 5: Upload the scanned copies of the required images, documents/ certificates and submit
Step 6: Pay the application fee through preferred mode, once done take a printout of the completed application form for further use.
