In a recent declaration by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra, has notified engineering aspirants to register for the fourth round of Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Students who have not got seat in the previous rounds can register on the official website of MHT-CET 2016.
Students who have already availed the Freeze option by
paying the fees for a seat allotted to them in the previous rounds, can now ‘Un-Freeze’
their seat and participate in the fourth round. Such students will have to report
to the allotted centre to unfreeze their seat.
The Un-Freeze option comes as relief for students who had
taken admission in colleges which are facing a ban by the All India Council for
Technical Education (AICTE).
Despite the DTE’s flawed seat allotment to students based on
their JEE Main marks, there is no clarification about the issue mentioned
anywhere in the recent notification. However, it was earlier said by DTE that
admissions based on the JEE score will be awarded in the fourth round.
