The Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur) recently launched an intensive Leadership Development Programme (LDP) in partnership with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for their early career officers. The first phase of this 14-day rigorous training took place at the IIM Raipur campus in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Pradumna Dash, Dean Academics at IIM Raipur, along with key IOCL officials: V Srinivasa Prasad, DGM I/c L&D; Pratik Talukdar, CM (L&D); Brajesh Jha, Sr Manager (L&D) HO; and Programme Directors Prof. Sumeet Gupta, Prof. Pradumna Dash, Prof. Damini Saini, and Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur.
Designed to enhance the leadership skills of professionals in marketing, sales, and execution, the programme aims to deepen participants’ understanding of executive responsibilities and improve their leadership abilities. It focuses on decision-making during uncertain scenarios, fostering innovative thinking, and improving task management.
V Srinivasa Prasad, DGM I/c L&D at IOCL, emphasised the company’s strong commitment to the LDP, stating, “Investing in the development of our early career officers is essential for our organisation’s continued success and growth.” This dedication was further highlighted by visits from IOCL dignitaries, including Jagdeep Kumar Rana, ED (RS); Awadhesh Kumar Mishra, GM (HR); and Goutam Dutta, CGM (HR), who interacted with the participants.
During the two-week programme, participants engaged in intensive training, yoga, and sports activities. The programme concluded on July 13, 2024, marking the successful completion of this comprehensive leadership initiative.
