Unlocking Policy Perspectives: Reflections from our recent FDP Workshop at IILM University Gurugram exploring the nuances of strategic political processes in public policy formulation, with a case study on GST in India. Dr. Debasis Bhattacharya (Professor, School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences) led the session on the complexity of decision-making with a special focus on the use of game theory in policy-making, such as the GST. Faculty members actively participated, which led to some insightful deliberations on topics like governance, legislative-executive relations, and comparative analysis between India and the US. The workshop, therefore, was not only about the dissemination of knowledge but also about rekindling the thirst to grasp the enormous significance of policy decisions to society.
