Have been a silent spectator of the PG UDT 2011 thread. Its about time I start being a participant as well. My first post ever across any DT/UDT thread.

Season 2012: Only enrolled with IMS(User ID - 31A03123) and only taken 2 mocks so far. Have not yet started with serious preps so far
, only going through the motions as they say. Stuck in a limbo and with CAT only 3 months away, will start with it as soon I get settled into my new job and a new environment.

A cursory glance at the histogram(or whatever you prefer to call it) beside my ID will show that I am still a Newbie PaGaL. True, if you go by the no. of posts made on this forum(which is abysmally low – only 11 so far). So the question automatically arises as to what I have been doing all through(I joined almost a year back). The fact is I have been around this forum for a pretty long time without really posting much. Sadly, PG does not keep track of the amount of time you have spent online on this forum. Last year, coming to PG and staying online for a couple of hours at least was one of my routine jobs everyday. Kept track of all Dream Team Threads(including Regional Dream Teams), read AIWTSAC, dug up old DT,UDT and KDT threads, solved questions posted on the verbal thread, dug up the post history of the stalwarts of PG, sent PM's and so on and so forth. In short, have done most of the things except post on forums

In a family where no one has done anything remotely close to an MBA – I was faced with this dilemma as to whether I should go for IIM Indore or take a crack at CAT 2012. This was when I started interacting with the members of DT/UDT who have started their MBA journey and many of them who had been on the same crossroads in the past Talked with people like DOC, the_hate, skr_14, sammael, first_timer, satwinder, Roger Federer, GANESH87, TnT and a host of other successful puys and came to a decision. I admit that it would have been far easier to settle for the blue tag beneath my name(differently denoted in the New PG by the edifice) than to go through the grind once again. But I have a dream and am not willing to compromise with it any cost and settle for anything less. Hope my decision to take up the gauntlet stands vindicated. However having interacted with these PG Legends, it makes me acutely aware of the legacy that a DT/UDT carries along with it. I can only hope that I live up to the benchmark set by these stalwarts

Making it to PG UDT has also been a dream along with making it to my Dream B-School. Have always been a reticent individual, someone who prefers keeping things to himself and a little known ID at PG. Consciously trying to break out of the mould and be a successful team player, as someone who strives to become a better individual in life, not a hardcore competitor; enjoy the success of people around and share their ups and downs. Hope I am given a chance to carry this legacy forward
