@susmita89 HI HOW WAS YOUR PREPARATION GOING ON?

hey guys m nw here.... want to syllabus of chsl..n whch buk i should prefer for maths n g.k

@srinivasdonkada : Preparation is not going great guns..have SBI Interview on 11th..but Would love to join SSC only, personal preference. 😃 Btw Somewhere in CGL thread, I read Mains ka Maths is as good as CAT!! ? Is it true? I really want to clear CGL next year, but if its really CAt standard Maths, it will be quite tough then!
@9529887553 for Maths: R.S Agarwal, M. Tyra will do. For Gk: Lucent or Arihant and a stroke of luck 😃

i hope its not upto cat standard this year it quite tougher than previous years this year i am sure will too tough to handle as the people selected in tier i is more than one lakh. so ur very good at maths .

for maths more concentration needed on geometry, algebra and trigonometry . dont waste much time on gk as its wide and cannot score much in this limited time.

ya good cgl is a great option but take this deo as semifanal before cgl. to play final you need to win . i saw deo paper aptitude papers of 2011 are no as easy because of geometry but english and reasoning is easy.
@srinivasdonkada I am weak in maths. Can you tell me where do I find previous papers (Tier 2) of CGL?

http://sscportal.in u ll find all ssc papers here
@srinivasdonkada Ya absolutely. CHSL and FCI will be good practice plus if by God's grace I can crack any one of them, the work pressure is much less than bank, 5 day week and decent salary, it will help me give some time for preparing for other exams.
Ya inclusion of geometry has made it tough...agreed.

i feel that in bank our power will be in bank itself but in posts of ssc we have good influence in society and particularly in cgl posts it gives us opportunity to reach to a cadre of civil sevices employees has
@srinivasdonkada ya right..Besides, if you compare the salary, of a Bank PO and its increment and that of a central govt post, there is a gap...although pressure plus risk in a bank job is more. Ofcourse Po has its own benefits, the kind of job exposure and learning one gets is very good. But...Individual preferences. I would rather settle for a SSC job and prepare for CGL/ Grade B. Lets hope for the best.:)

I think only 2011 is available it will only useful as new syllabus was from 2011 and negative marking also started from then it self. i think bank papers are easy and cut off will be very high
right.correct me if i am wrong
@srinivasdonkada Bank papers? You mean PO...well it was easy till 2010. But after introduction of IBPS...cant say so..last time , the paper was of good standard...! But manageable..I dint sit for it last yr though. This year....Reasoning was as good as CAT and Maths was more in lines with a DI paper from some MBA exam. So,ya there will be normalization factor, but if not, then cut off wont be high. I mean , 250 questions, 2.5 hours...come on! We are human!:)
