After looking at the CGPI to Percentage conversion formula followed by the University of Mumbai, which is:
CGPI * 7.4 + 12 (or CGPI * 7.1 + 12, for CGPI < 7)
Even a person scoring 10 CGPI will only fetch 86 %, which implies that students from the University of Mumbai will have a disadvantage in fetching the necessary AR scores and subsequently securing a call over those from other universities who implement 'fairer' percentage conversion techniques.
So does VGSoM keep this factor into consideration while shortlisting candidates for the PI round and final admission? (like some other colleges do by grouping students from a particular university together and providing them relative grading based on the highest scoring applicant from the university)
