My waitlist number is 1016, can someone tell me the chances of it clearing (MBA Core) … and does anybody know about the past year trends?

My father spoke to someone in TAPMI admissions. The fellow shared that the admission offer to currently selected students would expire by 8th April and then by 10th or 11th, they are likely to share another update regarding the wait listing scenario. Historical record regarding the probability of clearing the wait listing is not relevant as every year, it is a different ball game. However, we were informed that I am likely (fingers crossed!!!) to get an offer of admissions in the next lot as my waiting for MBA Core is 35 (thankfully).

Another update is that the new IIMs who follow Common Admission Process (CAP) would finalize their admission process by end of May. That means that the top students in TAPMI might chose to accept any IIM offer and thus vacate a seat…so, possibilities for the wait listed students can not be ruled out until then. All the best to all of us.

Hi all, For all those who are in the waiting list, like me, could go to the last year’s thread and discussions by the previous batch aspirants by scrolling this back and back. I could see, someone having 900 MBA Core waiting list and 253 MBA Marketing got converted by mid-May, It could give you great insights though as everyone in this field says that last year’s trends are in no way surety that the same pattern would prevail this time as well.

My original waiting list for MBA core was 35. Happy to share that I have received the offer of admission a while ago and I am joining here for sure. My search for B school ends now. All the best to all my fellow aspirants.

dude Im waitlisted at 7 for mba marketing. Do you think there will be another list?
And if so, I might get it no?
By the way, yesterday, I had also received admission offers for MBA (Marketing) where my waitilist was 17 and MBA BKFS where my WL was 10. So, this is moving fast. I declined both these as I have already got MBA Core.
