Corporate Interface Session -------------------- In its endeavour to keep its students abreast with the current working environment, a Corporate Interface Session was organised by LBSIM on the topic "The importance of Softwares in the Banking and Finance Sector." The session was conducted by Mr Kaushal Verma, Deputy General Manager, Global Banking Practices & Experienced Banking Transformation Executive, Newgen Software Inc. He was accompanied by Mr Fawad Khan. In this enriching session, Mr Kaushal enlightened us about the quintessential role that IT Softwares play in Banking and Financial Services Sector companies. He told the students about how Newgen Software Inc. is entrusted by 9 out of 10 public sector banks of India for carrying out their operations. He also threw light on the challenges that they face in this dynamic and ever-changing industry. Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of management organised its annual management, cultural and sports fest on the 9th and 10th of February 2019, TATVA with the theme Solace-An escape to tranquillity. The event was inaugurated by the lighting of the lamp by Mr. Anil Shatri, Chairman Lbsim, Dr. D. K. Srivastava, Director, LBSIM, Dr. GL Sharma , Corporate Relations Head, Dr. Anuj Verma, Faculty Advisor, Management Grid, Dr. Geetanjali Sahi, Faculty advisor, IT Grid, Mr. Saurabh Maloo and Mr. Mohit Shekhawat, President of Management Grid and IT Grid respectively. This was followed by the thoughts of encouragement and expectations from the event by the Chief Guest Mr. Vinod Sharma, Political Editor, Hindustan Times who shared his thoughts and memories of Shastriji and expectations for today's youth commending the theme and performances by the cultural clubs on 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisaan'.
