Dear @Akshat_Rawat please clarify this. If we accept a lower preference course, do we get offer for higher preference course in next waitlist movement? Or are we stuck with accepted course only?
IMT must be the worst in terms of information available on their site and also unresponsive adcom who respond once in ten days with a vague answer that raises more doubts than answer question raised!
E.g.
- Nowhere on their site is a detailed placement report, only a vague 1 pager just mentioning salary of those placed. No details on batch size. number of guys placed etc. Guess rumours that less than half the batch gets placed in both summer internship and final placement must be true.
- No details on the site in brochure or any document on waitlist movement process according to preferences given, courses getting allocated for which one never applied. No straight answer to what happens if you accept or don’t accept in the next waitlist movement.
- No clarity on payment schedule again either on the site or by adcom. A reply above says balance payment has to be made before session start in mid June a guy selected though says he has been asked to pay another 4 lacs top top of earlier paid 4.5 lacs by 21st April!
Looks like a totally dishonest racket officially and due to which adcom too doesn’t respond as they can’t speak the truth here?
Will adcom please respond to queries raised by multiple peoe above on waitlist. payment, refund etc with real details?

Our apologies for being inactive. We all are at our full-time internships. We are doing it offline, so it gets hectic for us.
(1) These are just rumors. We have 100 % placements for both summer internship and final placement. For details related to batch, please visit the batch profile section on the website.
(2) It all depends on the availability of the course and your merit rank. The reason people usually don’t get their preferred program is because of their overall merit rank.
(3) 21st April comes before the commencement of classes. As said earlier, you need to pay 1st-year fees before the beginning of classes.

Waitlist number is very early 100s, am absolutely confident will get into ghaziabad pgdm(first preference in application) in 2nd ot 3rd waitlist movement. Have currently been offered pgdm-bfs (2nd preference).
Now, if do NOT accept current offer(pgdm bfs), will I be offered for pgdm if in next waitlist movement my waitlist number is eligible for pgdm?
@Kalia_Bhatt The current instruction from the admission office is that you’re entirely out of the process if you don’t accept the offer. The program up-gradation (According to your preferred choices) will take place based on the availability of seats and one’s merit rank.
@Akshat_Rawat I was at waitlist no somewhere at 410s after first list. My 1st preference is pgdm and 2nd is pgdm fm. Any chance of conversion of IMT Ghaziabad??
I understand your concern. Taking these entrance examinations then getting a score and after all these hurdles waiting for that seat. To be honest you must have connected with seniors or alums of the particular college right? So you must have got an idea about how the college is and how it operates. So deliberate and then take up a decision. Colleges under AICTE follow AICTE rules so you shouldn’t worry about that. Rest it’s a game of luck. All the best.
I am going to join the IMT DCP program and I wanted to know about the internship situation, and majorly for finance specialisation.

I have converted IMT Ghaziabad DCP program. But I want PGDM Core. And while result were showing it was not even showing waitlist for core. So I raised queries on help desk and they replied ( No request for change of program will be entertained). I even call the admission office many time but no one reply on it. So I haven’t accepted the offer. So, can someone clarify if I would have accepted DCP program can I get waitlist in PGDM core program.

I got email for conversion from PGDM(financial management) to PGDM via email, and accepted the same over email. However, the status was not updated on the login portal. On contacting admissions team they said they didn’t receive any email. I again forwarded the same email, still they are saying that they didn’t receive any email. Is there any alternate email ID for the admissions team?
Can some one tell if Pgdm(marketing) holds more value than PGDM general because I’ve heard that marketing is the flagship program at IMT, not sure though

@Akshit_Aggarwal In PGDM general you’re free to choose your major specialization, while in marketing it is fixed as Marketing (Can choose minor in both)
Hey Adcom, I submitted my 2nd instalment on Friday 22/04, on due date, and updated the portal at around 1:30 pm but still the status of my payment is showing as pending. Besides, I have not received any confirmation mail from the college regarding the fee deposit. So, by when can I expect the confirmation?
