No, it is not true. People with no background in business can apply and do get selected too
It has more of theory but with aspects of practical application like case studies, simulations, industry visits, industry studies etc
There is no cut off. You are encouraged to apply as it is a holistic process considering factors other than gmat too. To give a more specific reply, you can mention your gmat score
Use gre gmat or cat score
