hi ppl(vandana and ramit esp) i have got thru bimtech and are a few thinks i would like u to clarify
1) whya arent they being transparent about their results? why arent they putting up the results of the selected candidates on their site, they didnt putthe shorlisted candidthings i am apprehensive about for the gd pi also on their site.
2) what is this " first come first serve basis" i dont think it is ethical for an educational insti to use such "market"language
3) and this facility about "confirmed seat status" even when we have cleared the interview selection process and definitely confirmed a seat , what is this idea of the facility GIVEN TO US?
whati feel bimtech ppl are doing is that theyhave issued calls to more than the no. of candidates they want and hence the first come first serve basis
seniors please clarify my points, i would love to join ur insti but there are a few things i am doubtful and apprehensive about some clarifications would def help. thanking u regards' candlez
Hi Candelz, Well your concerns are genuine and let me try answer each of them.
1. As far as transparency is concerned, you can visit the institute and crosscheck the results and as far as putting it on website is concerned, its under process as the website is under renovation as u can see pretty old stuff lying there and it will soon be done with new look and feel. I can tell u as i m involved in the website committee.
2. "fcfs" is nothing but to ensure that "serious" candidates confirm their seats before a certain period of time so that there is minimum dropout.
And what is ethical and what is not... i guess we shud leave it up to the insti only..however i don see any unethical act in this.
3. The facility is to ensure the above stated point. U must understand that in every insti, final calls are always> no.of seats to take care of dropout and hence by the virtue of that, i know insti running programmes with more than AICTE approved 120 seats.
BIMTECH is askin u to deposit 30k b'coz it considers u as a quality student and wants u to confirm ur seat asap. Makes sense i guess ... economically as well....!

Its nice to see that so many students are coming up with their queries, we would be eager to help you out so that you can choose a better option, as selecting a B- School of ones choice is as difficult as choosing a bride or groom for marriage. I remember my days when I was in your position, exactly two years back. But friends dont worry if you are getting a chance to be BIMTECHian then just go for it. I can assure you that you wont repent. As far as overall quality is concerned it is not the best but it is one of the very good B- School in India.
No more marketing of my college, because what I feel at BIMTECH its not about Gyan but about going through the reality. Hope to see you guys (who have got admission) soon in the campus before we leave, and best of luck to those seeking for admission.

Well guys Me late in joining the thread.....sorry for that!! Me thru To BIMTECH and decided to go ahead by depositing fee.... One thing I should tell you I have never seen such Honest and helpful seniors/Students In my whole life...even I can't think of becoming so much helpful and honest. Me went to BIMTECH and met Mr. Kapil a final year student of PGDBM (placed in Pantaloons at a pretty decent package)He helped me in every possible way...Showed his room,told details of Avg. salary and cleared a few of my personal doubts with a very neutral honest attitude. Next I know Cafeteria is not rocking five star disco hep kind of thing but still its decent....at least a place u can associate with B-schools of good quality Hostel rooms are pretty decent though needs much more mantainance from staff as well as students........No offences made against U Mr. Kapil With PGDBM course accepting only CAT scores from this year and rise in overall salary structure in India I think BIMTECH is a pretty safe bet at this moment for safe career The only drawback I personally find is for all those home sick ppl packing their bags every weekend for home trip....guys/gals not possible if u wanna staudy seriously also scarce transport facility to Delhi will not allow u that Otherwise Bimtech Is good !!

But sincerely this opinion about Bimtech is just not because I'm joining it...Its bcoz I feel that way There may be few ppl who will think otherwise to what I think...But guys we have many examples of guys not even keeping MDI,IMT as an option b4 IIM's... What I want to say is that its matter of personal preference and the opportunities you have in hand. By no means I'm keeping BIMTECH in the top league of IIM,MDI,FMS,IIFT but also I'm not keeping it Crap bin type of institutes So guys in fix just priortise the things and trust ur instincts...it's often the difference between winner and loser.Self belief is a big thing I'm no way acting as a marketing agent or a B-school ranking expert but just a person who sincerely wants talent to choose wisely rather than reamining in a quandry Hope this helps to some ppl Pretty heavy stuff ...ya true even I think so...
