Hi ramit, I am new to this group. I have got "special" call for GD/PI on 7'th february at Greater Noida.My CAT percentile is 88.9.

I am eager to join PGDBM course but only worry is the money part. Can you please tell what will be total expenditure including everything. and what about the loan. does institute has tie-up with banks to provide loan to the students.

Firstly how is the faculty at bimtech? I guess the infrastructure is pretty good. Also i know that u have been asked this time and again but what is the current placement scenario for the year 2006? I know that for 2005 the avg sal was around 3.1.

Also if i get selected then how much of the fees do i have to pay before i join in june?

1. how is campus life? are there also partys or "campus-programs" on weekends, activities that can be done?
2. How are the apartments equipped? Are there showers in each room or common bathrooms? Does anybody have pictures?
3. How is the standard of living in the campus area?
4. How is the food offered on campus? More international or typical Indian?
5. How much is a taxi to the next city center or to New Delhi?
6. How is the MIB-program? Really hard stuff or is there enough time to explore at least a part of great India?

Would really appreciate your help!

I want to know if BIMTECH takes students for the 2 year PGDBM on basis of MAT(I have got 99%tile in MAT). and 2years of work ex. I have also given CAT(got 91%tile in CAT) but as the date for applying for CAT has already ended i was keen to know if they accept MAT scores for there 2 year prog,

2nd is it a residential program.

3rd classes are 5 days a week or 6

BIMTECH only accepts CAT scores for PGDBM
Yes it is a fully residential progra,
not 5 days, not 6 days, sometimes even 7 days!, It depends upon the speed withh which ur course is being coveered, though u will get an off so u end uphavin 6 days to say the least!!

Well those "special calls" means that ur profile and ur perfrmance in the CAT makes u eligible for the "preference" in admissions. See the bottomline is that u r being called on 7th feb and if they find u good, u will be offered seat then and thr.!

For faculty, infra, please read the earlier posts in this thread.
As far as the placements are concerned, its rocking time @BIMTECH.
Average Salary so far has been close to 3.5, Highest package now is 4.8 CTC.!

i don have much idea abt the installment but i can tell u that tution fee wud be divided over 4 and hostel fee in 4 installments.

if i m right,u r askin abt a B School and not abt any 5 Star hotel b coz for a moment i thought u were doing this only.
Nothing to offend u dear but its something which cant tell u as it will do injustice to the envt. I would suggest takesome time out and visit the inst. and see it ur self, To give u a hint, Most of ur expectations will be met.

About MIB...plz read my earlier posts.

Total cost is 4.5 lacs for 2 years plus 7k permonth for hostel and mess so that makes 1,68,000 taking the total cost to 6,18,000.

No, BIMTECH doesnt have a tie up with any bank, however u can easily avail finance facility from any bank as the course is recognized by AICTE and hence one faces no problem in getting the loan.

Hi maverick,

GD & Interview was cool and I got selected and deposited RS.30000/- also. but the problem is they are asking for another Rs.87000/ within 28'th february and I am in a fix.

GD Topic: Is Population Explosion is reason for unemployment?
Interview was really cool. nothing to worry about it.

My CAT percentile is 88.9 percentile. i am in final year B.Tech, chemical Engineering.

Ramit, can you advise me how to extend the date of deposit.is it possible?

Hey Guys,
After a long time i am posting something on this, how u all r doin there, congrats to all of you as we have cleared our last trimester exams. How all you guys are doin at your respective organization, must be giving your best shot (ARE BHAI BIMTECH KE JHANNDE GAAD DENA). Hope we will meet at the time of viva as that will be the only time we all will be there in full strength.

As i have seen so many students are comming up with queries, hats off ramit you handeled them well. Congrats to all those who have been selected, and best of luc to the aspiring ones.

me too got a call..my gd/pi is on 22 feb... my cat nd mat scores are bad actually so bad that they are nt even worth mentioning..i had given up hope after i got my result..but dunno how ?i got a call frm bimtech..am frm venky du.doing sociology hons.. maths and all r below average..
just wanna knw one thing that will my low mat nd cat score nd my background play an imp role in getting selected..cos one thing im sure that gd nd pi will nt be tough fr me... will an engg or commerce background hve more chances of getting selected..and when will the result ie the final list be out ... do we get to knw abt it the same day

Hi aditi,

Well with low percentile, i m sure u must have done descent in quant and u r right u have to perform specially well to come above the waters.
Ur grads performance wont matter much since it has been taken in to account and then only u have got a call.

No, the same day result facility was available only on 6th and 7th feb and u will probably get to know the resuklt by this month end

I Amn A New User Of This Portal And When I Find This Link Of Bimtech I Was Very Happy. I Must Say To You Really Are Doing A Great Job Keep It Up Buddy, Its Cool And Reflects Your Personality Trait. Well I Got 71.62% In Cat I Am Also Having A Workex Of 13 Months As A Computer Faculty But Problem Is That I Am Having A Declining Graph Of My Academics. I Have Also Heard That Bimtech Guya Are Looking For Good Academic Score And In Pi The More Attention Is On Academic Part Is It So??i Have Applied Pgdbm, Mib, Mba(insurance) Through Cat Only In The Smae Order Of Prefernce. I Am Good In Gds And Pis I Have Converted My Call From Jaipuria Lucknow Plz Tell Me Abt The Mib, Mba(ins) Courses Placements I Am Having My Gd/pi On 21/2/06 At 8:45 At Bimtech Noida. I am a First Year Student Of BIMTECH,and my sincere advice to all the students seeking admission here is that "If you have received a Call For Bimtech,then u should surely come for the GD/PI.Come and see our Campus,interact with the seniors,that will be very beneficial".
30000 is to be paid only when you confirm the admission.

i had a great GD AND PI. infact i hoope that i will be getting PGDBM. ramit PLEASE tell me me one thing regarding results as i have been told by the senior(gaurav) that results will be coming out on 26 feb but is it only for PGDBM or for the final results of MIB and MBA(INS) programme for CANDIDATE aplplied through CAT i.e. 70% seats out of 60 which is 42 or we have to wait for the GD and PI of MAT based candiadate and then they are going to declare the final list of MIB AND MBA(INS)?? i hope they declared it before 1 MARCH coz i have been given the last date by NIILM-CMS and JAIPURIA(L). please find it out. i hall be highly thankful to you very much again. bye take care!!!!!
