Hi all i have some queries i am an engineer from bihar very average in acads (60% in 10th,12th,btech) and a gap of 3 long years after 10+2) i hav no idea but want to prepare for CAT/IIFT/XAT 2012. Please help me out with what approach to follow(eg books, materials, test series) to maximize my scores and percentile. What are the chances for a weak student like me to get admission in top 25 colleges. How to develop SPEED AND ACCURACY in Quant, Verbal, LR, DI/DS.. I am not so good in all these sections... i could not understand mera CAT me kaise hoga.

Thanks :)....i'm wrkng in a IT company...done my BE(E&TC;),2010 batch........inspired by the thought of joining reputed institute like IIM started my preparation of CAT recently......that's it...hoping, I make good progress along with all other's here in acheiving the dream 😃

my joy knew no bounds when i found dis thread.....coz i ws searching fer ppl frm kerala....i thot i happend to be the only crazy person frm diz place tryin to bell the cat....hmm....oh hw relieved i am.....
but the thread is really inactive....people do post wht u r up to...ur plans fer d week....js say it out here...so that u'll hv d feeling to fulfill it n u'll try real hard.....cm on achievers of kerala!!!!!!
n by the way...i js cmpleted my btech in ece..had taken cat last yr bt since i wsnt even a teeny bit serious about it....it ws pathetic...hmm...giving it a try diz yr again...bt like dey say mba is like marriage...u do it only once....

Yes we need to make this thread active ... Right now me and iimlover busy with our sem exams
, i will be active after May 25th ..btw as far as i m concerned , have enrolled for Career Launcher and Testfunda test series..
Kicking off with CL Proctured test 1 on 27th May
As far as materials are concerned , I have the TIME material of last year plus Quantum CAT for quant and Norman Lewis for Vocab , plannning to read a lot of random material
I have all the last years AIMCATS with me...
So Sreejith and Preethi , tell us if you have joined any test series
currently nothing.....just have Time(duplicate) study material....going thrugh that only....Hw's ur all preparation gng? Which study material U refering?

Well it had 2 sections:
Sec 1 ( QA+DI) - 30questions
Sec 2 ( VA+LR) - 30 questions

Though the Q is not for me, I would like to give my suggestion. I would suggest not to quit your job atleast till you get a good percentile. In case you have some family business or so which will help you get you experience certificate then it would be ok. Else it wouldn't be wise to quit your job, in my view.
