I am a student from the PGDM batch of 2022-24 and our classes have started in August of this year. I am fully satisfied with the college’s infrastructure, faculties, and the course outline.
Placements
100% of the students of the PGDM batch of 2020-22 got placed. The highest salary package offered is 20 LPA. The average package is 9.12 LPA. The top 50% of the students’ average salary was 10LPA. The median salary was 8.71 LPA. Students are provided job offers from all fields like Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, and Analytics.
Top recruiters are ICICI, HDFC, PWC, KPMG, JSW Steel Limited and Deloitte. 33 new recruiters visited our campus. Top roles were offered in the marketing and consulting sectors. Students also get the opportunity to work on various live projects at different companies like Spencers, SVP, etc. Our college provides internships in different companies, and the stipend ranges from 10000-100000.
Infrastructure and hostel
The campus of IMI Kolkata fulfils all the needs of the students. The campus is clean, hygienic, and has an eco-friendly environment. There is a 24-hour Wi-Fi facility. Classrooms and hostel rooms are centrally air-conditioned, and the mess foods are also good. Computer labs are well equipped and up to date.
Apart from the classrooms, IMIK has an incredible library assembled of books related to academics, business newspapers and magazines, journals and aarticle. Also there are lounges to study in. Various sports and games like volleyball, court, pool room, gym, table tennis, and badminton are billiards. The foods offered in the hostel and canteen are excellent and delicious.
Faculty, curriculum and exams
Faculties are highly qualified and skilled in their respective fields. They are always available to clear any doubts beyond the classroom. Faculty are very helpful, and the classes are very interactive, that makes us understand the subject better. Tutorials are also arranged to get extra attention.
We have smart classrooms where teachers teach us with the help of PPTs, and case studies. These case studies are mainly from Harvard and the Ively Group. The subjects that are taught are very much industry-oriented and are revised regularly to meet the industry’s needs. They also give us assignments, and projects that provide us with direct exposure to the corporate world.
Apart from regular classes there are many clubs and committees who conduct various events. Confero and Converse are the events that give us corporate exposure. Throughout the year, our college hosts various events, guest lectures, and symposiums with industry professionals to make us ready for the corporate world.

IMI Kolkata has been ranked 59th among business schools in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Ministry of Human Resource Development, and Government of India in 2022. It is the 4th in the best private B schools in the east zone category, 10th in the top private Standalone Institute and 15th in top private MBA institution. We have different specialisations in marketing, HR, operations, finance, analytics. We are also given the opportunity to achieve dual specialisation.
