The National Defense Academy (NDA) Candidates for the Indian Armed Forces are chosen through the National Defense Academy (NDA). Though the Union Public Service Commission conducts exams twice a year, there are numerous parallels and differences in terms of recruitment, training, remuneration, bonuses, promotion, eligibility, and so on. Education Qualification
- NDA’s educational credentials
- Male/female candidates for the Army wing of the NDA must have passed a recognized board’s Class 12 or equivalent exam.
- Male/female candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for the NDA Air Force and Naval wings, as well as the 10+2 Cadet Admission scheme at INA.
Training, degrees, ranks, and stipends
Both the NDA has the identical selection process: a written exam followed by an SSB interview. Candidates are given the rank of Lieutenant upon commissioning. - NDA training lasts four to four and a half years.
- NDA for three years and IMA for one year (For Army cadets)
- Three years at the Naval Academy and one year at the Naval Defense Academy (For Naval cadets)
- NDA for three years and AFA Hyderabad for one and a half years (For AF cadets)
